I've seen both Renis & Adam and I adore them. I've seen multiple opthalmologists and neuro-opthamologists and the knowledge these two hold has honestly been comparable with the specialists who are supposed to be "above them." They're kind, intelligent, and the clinic is well run. Dr. Adam even did the uninsured scan on me for free when I was having severe issues. These guys genuinely care about their patients.

At 65 I was concerned about my eye health. This clinic performed every possible test to assess any conditions. Dr. Lapienis was thorough and explained every aspect of the testing and diagnosis. This is a professional practice that goes the extra mile to provide quality eye care. I have recommended them to all my friends and family. Thank you Dr Lapienis.

I have been going to Dr. Lapienis for almost three decades. I have always appreciated the thoroughness of his examination and the time he takes to explain to me everything to me. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I now bring my kids there and he makes the exam fun and comfortable for them. Great optometrist! Highly recommend

Dr. Lapienis is an excellent optometrist, and his caring nature and knowledge really shine throughout the appointment. He ensured that the prescription was correct, and the staff are excellent in helping you choose a pair of glasses. They also do minor repairs at no extra cost, like if a bolt comes out or you need a readjustment. I am impressed with their excellence and service, and will be a patient for a long time. Keep up the great work!

My children see Dr Adam Lapienis and we find him to be a caring optometrist. One of my kids required glasses and Dr adam checked him several times to isure the prescription was accurate and the vision was good. They have good warranties on the glasses and do not charge for minor repairs and adjustments. The kids love going there.

Well since his son Dr. Adam Lapienis doesn't have a site I will review him here and warn you that he also doesn't know what he is doing. I took my 9 year old son there and had his eyes checked and he advised that he needed glasses for reading. And to boot I was forced to buy the glasses there which i found out after taking him to a new eye doctor this week that that is highly illegal. I never even was given the prescription to have the option to go elsewhere also illegal. They have a crappy selection of glasses and I was forced to pay $400 for glasses which I discovered this week (actually I knew before having it confirmed by the new doctor) that my son DOES NOT need glasses to read. He could read the finest print the doctor showed him. I DO NOT recommend anyone go to this place as it is just a scam.

BEWARE - THIS DOCTOR/CLINIC COULD CAUSE MAJOR DAMAGE TO YOUR VISION. My husband had TWO very bad experiences with this clinic. The first one - he was wearing one contact lens, and had a routine eye exam. When given back the lens the fluid they gave him to wet the lens must have been a cleaning fluid because it burned his eye like acid. This was on a Friday, and we were scheduled to fly to Florida the next day. However, we spent most of the next TWO days in emerg. trying to get that eye fixed. We manged to leave on Monday, but he was still in terrible pain. They gave us a somewhat feeble apology, and we left it as, well mistakes can happen. The SECOND incident: my husband, who had just turned 70 was having trouble with distance vision. Dr. Lapienis checked him out and prescribed glasses for distance. I questioned that, saying most people that age are wearing reading glasses - not distance. Did he perhaps have a cataract? He looked into his eyes again and said - No. No cataract. But he should go back in 6 months for a routine check. At the next appointment, as we were walking out of the examination room, I again questioned why he was having to wear glasses for distance vision (which was now getting worse). Dr. Lapienis' comment: IT IS PROBABLY BECAUSE OF THE CATARACT. He had made no mention of this in the examination, let alone any method of treatment. It only came up because I once again questioned why he was losing his distance vision. Needless to say, I immediately made an appointment with another clinic, and since then (a year ago) he has had not one, but two cataracts removed. He had an appointment for an annual
routine check-up for December 27th, which I just cancelled.

While Dr. Lapienis himself is a nice man, I didn't feel that my eye exam was well done. There was no exceptional exam. It was just meh. I also felt pressured to buy classes from his office, which I of course did not as they didn't have that great of a selection. I've been buying my glasses from the same place for the last 5+ years and the quality is exceptional. Also, I've been wearing glasses for 30 years and this was the very FIRST time that I've had an issue with a prescription. Dr. Lapienis made a mistake on the axis number for my left eye. Went in to get my glasses and I could barely see. The blurriness and pulling effect were so bad that I couldn't even keep the glasses on. When I called the office to advise that there must be a mistake, I was told that I would have to bring in the new glasses so that they could check them first, as there must be some mistake in the manufacturing of the glasses. I guess there is no way that Dr. Lapienis would ever make a mistake. Add to that, if it was the optical office mistake, I would have to pay another $60 even though I had already paid $98 for my original exam!!! Then they couldn't get me into an appointment for several weeks. Thankfully, my optical office was able to get me in right away to see the Dr they have and low and behold, the axis was incorrect. They were able to change my lenses at no cost and get everything corrected. Thank goodness for honest people. First and LAST time going to see Dr. Lapienis.

Dr. Lapienis is such a sweet, caring man, definitely one of the best optometrists in the GTA. Even if he's running late, he never rushes a patient, and never lets them leave his office before asking if you have any questions for him. His staff is kind and courteous, and he never pressures you to buy glasses from his clinic. His son who works with him in his clinic(Dr. Adam Lapienis) is also a very sweet person, as are the other two docs in his clinic. Dr. Renis Lapienis has all the latest technological devices in his clinic, does a very thorough exam, and remembers all his patients. He listens and cares about them all. Hands down the best optometry clinic in Brampton! highly recommended!!!
