In my opinion Dr. Joan has a straight forward approach to her sessions and she does swear from time to time. I find it amusing, she may be finding common ground. After all the swear words are descriptive. I'd only say that I'm not sure if it's unethical for the swearing, if so I simply don't care. It doesn't have much to do with the reasons I go to her.
I like that she challenges me to see outside of my practices otherwise I'd continue to think and do the same habits over and over, exactly the reason I go to her.
She also knows when to hold back, she's quite knowledgeable in her field of study.
She also reads and continues to learn about spiritual practices. It's lovely she shares her knowledge with her clients. When you leave the session is still going on with some of the thoughts she asks me to consider.
I think she's "the bomb"

Firstly, a comment that must have been widely made: punctuality and staff weighted in overall value as highly as helpfulness? Yikes. I once asked her how she was. She said "I don't feel like killing anybody any more!" I was paying her mega-dollars for her professional help.

Challenging and tough - no nonsense approach. Don't waste her time or your time if you don't want to do the work. Intelligent and well read. Has a bit of a "god" complex and doesn't like it if you don't worship her. Jaded and looking after her pocketbook. Maybe time to retire?

Very helpful. Asks lots of questions to get you thinking, offers many resources. I think Dr. McAndrew disagrees with you at times to see your reaction, to see how you respond to negativity etc . . . there's always a method in her madness so to speak : )

I her very knowledgeable. Her use of the "F" word shocked me. I found everything went extremely well until you didn't agree with her. Then she got angry and short. Maybe she needs to work on her own demons before dealing with others?

Very nice, personable doctor. She was helpful, and caring. My only concern was her use of the "F" word. I found it uncomfortable and inappropriate in that situation.
