Dr Manoogian was my physician for many, many years. He cares, he has a great sense of humor, and he will work with you to try other methods of treatment such as nutrition, exercise, etc not just medication.

I found Dr. Manoogian very biased against Armour which I've been on for a long time. He gave me the typical rant that it's unreliable, blah, blah, blah. Told me to take Syncrap and Cytomel instead and cut my dose drastically. I got SO sick. I only went to him because he is on my insurance plan. Never again. I'm going back to my original doctor who treats the patient and not just lab results. Back on Armour and feeling great again.

I have had only one appointment with Dr Manoogian but he did something that I was suprised to find, and it was a positive. I have been taking Armour Thyroid for a few years now and doing very well on it. Knowing that their are two camps or mindsets out there, synthetic thyroid vs. Natural Tyroid, I expected him to play hardball and NOT renew my script for Armour (the first two docs I called upon moving to Pasadena refused to see me as a "Armour" patient). Dr Manoogian was smart enough to know that regardless of which camp they are in, a patient doing well on a given thyroid drug should stay on it. He was a tiny bit reluctant, which was simply him sharing his belief on the matter, then proceeded to renew my thyroid script. For those of you out there on Armour, you know it rocks and can be hard to find docs that support it. Turns out I went on to choose one of his partners to be my primary care doc (Internal Medicine Dr Grigorian) and she has been fantastic! Happy patient!
