I was having pain in both balls of my feet with horrible pain in toes. Like nerve pain. I did see another foot doc and had an MRI and received cortisone shots that did not help. Mri showed a neuroma in each foot..Dr Todd started giving me alcohol sclerosing injections in both feet. A series of 7 shots every 2 weeks..so i did those but had not much relief.. Dr Todd also told me when i first saw him that if these shots did not work he could do surgery...We decided to do another round of 7 shots every 2 weeks..he said they might work..After this next round not much got better.
He suggested i do a 3rd round..in the meantime i went to see other foot docs for an opinion.. I did not really trust any of them especially when they push their products on you..totally unhappy.. So then Dr. Todd says he can only offer me more injections or a PRP treatment which i would have to pay for. He tells me he will not do surgery on me since i will not have a good outcome.. so its more shots that really do not do much or a PRP treatment that will only be 50% effective and will cost me out of pocket..he suggested i got to HSS. When i contacted HSS they needed info from.Dr. Todd.. I am then told it would take a month to send all my info to them and i would have to pay per page.. We are in the computer age, give me a break... HSS only needed a few lines why i was being seen..Which i convinced Dr Todd to send them.
I spent alot of time going to his office for injections, months and months, not getting better and then saying he will not do surgery on me to remove the neuromas in my feet..
The custom insoles he gave me are garbage too..
I am now seeing an Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Specialist with much better results so far.

I had a great experience. The staff was kind. The doctor took his time to explain everything. He is very knowledgeable, caring, and he successfully treated my issue. I recommend him to all my friends and family.

I don't know all this stuff I'm reading would normally make me cringe. Glad I only read it after about my 4th or 5th visit. I couldn't walk and had done enough research on feet to know exactly what was wrong so when I was examined by the doctor I knew he was on the right path yes he did talk about trying injections 1st (I never thought they would even work alittle), but to my surprise after the 3rd shot I was feeling a slight difference by the 4th or 5th shot I had alot of relief. I still have a few more to get. I've had foot surgery not on the same foot nor the same reasonand so has my mom seems they don't always work out as it's hard to baby your feet afterwards. I also find dr. Todd to be very caring and just a FYI most insurance companies WONT pay for surgery unless every other avenue is first tried. If he has a better product and can make money giving those shot and selling his product. Good for him. Insurance office space and school costs major $$$$$$.

Zero to surgery in under five minutes. The previous reviewer is correct. I felt like I was being sold a bill of goods, including shots, shoe inserts professionally made by him. And surgery down the road. Not to mention plasma replacement therapy which would not be covered by any insurance because it is not FDA approved. I gave him a hard no.

This is my opinion, if you've had better luck here, good for you. I have severe pain in my ankle and was recommended to go here by my primary care doctor. Dr. Levenstein quickly figured out what he thought the problem was, sent me for an MRI to confirm, then started giving me a series of 2 injections every 2 weeks into the area, this went on for a few months and I had a 0% decrease in pain. He then told me to start wearing a fracture boot all day at work, did this for a few months, 0% decrease in pain. He then had me buy a very expensive set of orthotics to wear, 0% decrease in pain. Then there was a $1,000.00 PRP treatment, 0% decrease in pain. At this point, he said that surgery was my only option, which was fine with me, since I had no confidence that pain this severe was going to go away with his "conservative" treatments. He suggested doing yet another series of injections (the same ones that had no effect whatsoever the first time), again, 0% decrease in pain. Finally, he said that he would do a surgery, but wanted another 2 MRI's to confirm that it was still the same problem. Got the MRI's done again, the reports read the same as the one that I got a year ago, and now he said that he was not the guy to do a surgery for my condition, which he knew from the beginning. He told me that he thought that my tendon was thinned out, which it wasn't, and the new MRI said the same thing that the previous MRI said from a year ago, my tendon was thickened, so he already knew that. He finally admitted defeat, and told me to go see somebody at the Hospital for a special Surgeries, but to come back to him after I saw somebody there. I called to make an appointment, which I can't get until the end of October, over 2 months away. Once I found that out, I called back Dr. Levenstein's office to postpone my follow up with him until after I got to see the other doctor, since there was no reason to see him again until that happened. Now at my last appointment, I had given him a form at the beginning of the visit that he just had to write my condition on it and sign it so that I could get a temporary handicapped parking permit since it's incredibly painful for me to walk, he said that he wouldn't sign it until he read through it, but would have it ready for my next appointment, so when I called to postpone my next appointment with him, I reminded the receptionist that I still wanted to come in and just pick up the form that I had left him 2 weeks prior, she confirmed that it would be ready. I showed up when it was supposed to be completed, but he refused to give it to me unless I paid another copay for a visit. I explained that I wasn't there to see the doctor, just to pick up the piece of paper that I had left at my last visit 2 weeks prior, and that I was told it would be completed. The receptionist told me that he said that the only way that he would fill it out is if I had another paid visit, even though I had given it to him at the beginning of my last visit two weeks prior. After a few minutes of back and fourth with the receptionist, I told her to tell him to forget it, and to just keep it. This guy had ONE chance to actually do something to help me, but refused to do it without another paycheck. In my opinion, he knew that he was in over his head with my condition, realized that he wasn't getting any more money out of me, so took one last stab at getting paid again. Shame on you, as a doctor, your first priority should be to help people, not to just drain their wallets. I wasn't trying to weasel a free visit out of you, I just wanted my form back, that you had two weeks to sign to give me the smallest bit of relief.

I am amazed.
I had a bilateral knee replacements..I was bone on bone. I also did it partly to fix my feet. because you have to fix the knees before you fix the feet. Gait changes...
I've had his business card for a while but I had been going to my podiatrist that I've been seeing for years. His non aggressive measures were not working. so I went for a second opinion. I had already scheduled a follow up with my podiatrist the week after I had my consultation with Dr.Levenstein. Both doctors were diametricakky opposed in treatment and diagnosis. But I continued on with Dr. Levenstein. I am amazed.. each treatment gave me more range of motion and less pain. I'm out of my sneakers and wearing real shoes. The debilitating pain is almost a memory. PRP for my right foot... then we work on the left. I feel normal. Knees feel great.. no more limping. no more sneakers.. He really cares about his patients.. and wants them to do well. Very easy to talk to. and he explains things very well.
