Doctor Royster runs a great office. In and out promptly with attention and care.

This would take an hour to explain the lengths his staff will go to gaslight you to cover their incompetence. Royster came highly recommended, but their comments about the rude staff are an immense understatement. It took a month and half to get the appointment, then they screwed up the time and blamed me. Said they had called me twice to confirm and gave me a date that I had the voicemail message in my phone and showed her how they had lost my intake info and emailed insurance card and license. I had to call back two days later to schedule and after I hung up, they only called Mme back to want me I'd have to pay this $150 fee, that I have never heard of before for a well doctor's office visit. Said they only schedule new patients in the morning. Then when they told me next available was 6 weeks away, set it for the afternoon, then when I pointed out she had told me new patients were only in the morning, she blatantly lied to my face and said she never said that. Then she quickly changed the subject that they want to charge me $150 for a first visit, explaining it as first, that I had a high deductible (I don't have one at all for doctor visits, just a copay), then that they said checked with my insurer and were told by them that this fee was my deductible ( Insurer keeps records of all contacts per patient, and had never been contacted, never heard of such a deductible and certainly that my top tier plan didn't include it). Then after explaining I have the same coverage for years, her excuse was 'plans change.' Not in October of the year, and hadn't changed since last year and office visits are fully covered 100%, no deductible and $20 copay. Lies after lies. We were looking for a new family doctor. We will never know how good he is because my wife said she would never go to him until he replaces his staff. His staff lost him a whole family of well insured patients. I will be sure to offer my review to anyone asking, with pictures and recordings of their incompetence. Absolutely awful woman who clearly is at ease bullying the older patients still in the room that has cute little religious phrases painted all over the walls.

I went to Dr Royster for over 30 yrs. When he first started out he was kind, caring, compassionate, would take his time with you. I dont know if he got to big or to many patients but the quality of care you recieve now is in the toilet. pretty bad on my yearly visit that I had o ask him to take blood and make sure everything was ok. he has ALWAYS had a rude staff/head nurse. The nurse he statred out with Jackie she was a battle axe and rude as could be. I did have alot of respect for Dr Royster but not anymore. I seriously would not take a hurt animal to him. Looks like the money got to his head!

Trust me when I say I agree with all the posts below. I have been to this doctor for ONE visit and the staff is RUDE -- practically obnoxious -- especially the lead nurse. She really needs CHARM SCHOOL!! Dont let the bible verses posted on all the walls fool you the lead nurse is NO CHRISTIAN....

The office manager is rude and condescending. An attempt to rectify an over-charge will result in ridicule and threat of termination as a patient. Dr. Royster seems to care but his staff nullifies any chance for further visits. My family will not be returning unless the office manager is replaced.

Burned out greedy doctor, who plays innocent,letting the flying monkeys on his evil staff do his dirty work. Great doctor who has lost his way.

Dr. Royster is the only doctor which gets you in at your appointment time! His practice is very well managed and he is a great doctor who always makes time for you. I never feel rushed.

When we first started going to him he was great and caring. His staff and nurses are mean and rude. When we questioned a nurse over the phone about treatment, we received a "do not come back and do not try to call and talk to Dr Royster letter"for my elderly mother. Just lost all respect.
