I mostly wanted to comment here to let people know that this doctor is no longer in practice. He has been convicted on 40 counts of illegally prescribing narcotics. His DEA number was taken away and his request to have it restored was rejected. He is extremely knowledgeable and capable of doing a good job for all of his patients, but there were many that he was not even examining, just handing them prescriptions for addictive drugs and getting rid of them and moving on to the next. He was giving huge amounts of narcotics to some people, including young women whom he would flirt with, regardless of the fact that he had been made aware that they had been diverting their drugs. There were several young people, including my son, who went to him, never having taken narcotics, who became addicts, just by taking the medication he gave them, as he directed. Some of them are still in treatment for addiction. He has not only hurt his own family, but many others. It is a very sad story.

I was very pleased how he treated my son that had a spiral brake in his femur at age 2 he was very good about making my son feel comfortable and he even came in to check on my son at 3 am when my son was having a rough night this man is a great Dr who really cares about his patients , for the comment of him not knowing a drug addiction is untrue in my opinion I watched this dr help a friends husband get off prescription drugs and he was very supportive to this man so once again a great dr and I would recommend him to people I know

dr. mackay is the best doctor i have ever seen. i have been seeing him for 10 yrs. due to a serious auto accident i was involved in. i have seen many many doctors due to the accident and he is the only one who has helped me. i would reccommond him to people who live with serious pain. thank you dr. mackay. oh...the feds, strike force and any others who shame his name need to leave him alone and let him do his job. they should all be ashamed of them selves for harrasing dr mackay for several years now. there's real criminals out there they should be looking for not a licensed doctor. whats wrong with you people? is there to many of you that you just have to try and make your selfs look good. well your pethitic and its time that you (feds, strike force and others) move on so he can do his job.if one of you lived in pain every minute of every day due to no fault of your own you would see dr. mackay also. thank you for hearing me out. c.carbaugh

Dr. MacKay is quick but I felt he was very thorough. He knows what he is talking about and his experience shows. This man is very loving and caring, but when you are seeing so many people everyday I can see why the others wrote their reviews. All I can say is he helped me when I needed it, in a professional and correct way.

I never had an examination from him. He just asked which medication I wanted. He took 2-3 minutes with me. Acted put out if I asked a question. If I needed a form filled or a signature from him, he'd complain, and and tell me to "get one of the girls up front" to do it.

My husband just entered rehab for a prescription drug addiction. He had been seeing Dr. MacKay for some time for Loritab refills after another addict at work "recommended" him. My husband claimed that the doctor would enter the exam room and simply hand him the Rx with no examination, no discussion. This doctor definitely needs some education on how to identify an addict. He is very popular with the addicts in the Ogden area.

I was not impressed at all. I took my daughter to another doctor for follow up where they readjusted the broken bone to less of angle.
