I read a coment left by another of Dr Murphy's {Happy} patients, He is VERY SHORT with his time,,, almost rude if you ask him a question... like you went to medical school, and he seems annoyed that you asked him anything, isn't that what he's there for ? If I had all the answers, I wouldn't need a doctor!!! I still smoke and am having trouble quitting.. He never offered help on how to quit.. Just said you're looking at a lung transplant within a year, I asked if he had any proven quitting teqniques or sugestions and he just said.. "You have COPD, quit or die..." WOW, thanks for the info and sugestions doc !!!!The medications he has put me on have helped somewhat. He actually returned a phone call (That I didn't make)Insisting that I left a message on his service, requesting a return call.. his voice went from happy and ready to help (on the phone) to "yes you did call me"... mad.. So, maybe the way to talk with him in a happy mood, is to call his service ??

Dr Murphy is a very rude doctor. We had to wait to see him for hours every time we had an appointment with him. He has no "bedside manner" at all, no introductions, gives very little information and is out the door. Does not return telephone calls and it seems he is always on vacation. I switched hospitals and doctors, WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! I even found out that Dr Murphy gave me the wrong information about my illness and now I have to go through all the same testing again. He was a waste of time!!!

Dr. Murphy makes you wait for him, then shows up to give you a 5 minute evaluation without all the information. He himself, very unkept and not interestted in hearing what you have to say.

Dr. Murphy is head of pulmonary at deborah. He is very impressed with himself. Had others meet with patient for all testing and prelimenary info. Rushed into room for less than 5 minutes, did not introduce himself to patient or anyone else in the room, said he determined it was a cardiac problem and nothing more. We had questions and he seemed annoyed and said we would have to take it up with cardiology. We waited 6 weeks for an appointment, all day to see him, and saw him for less than 5 minutes. He might be a brilliant doctor but he has no people skills at all. He seemed annoyed that we took up his time. His staff and assistants were kind and caring but he was very much like the doctor on tv--Gregory House...I am not saying it to be funny-it is just a very good description of him
