"Horrible experience! -extremely smarmy and condescending -never more embarrassed or humiliated by any medical visit in my life seemed more interested in what type of procedures he could rack up on the bill than actual prognosis approached me like a farm animal than actual human- typical western medicine approach of prescribing pills- “Oh that didn't work? here we will put you on these come back in 2weeks...” didnt want to hear anything i had to say as far as my condition concerned- did not like this guys demeanor at all- smarmy and condescending are the 2 words that first came into my mind when i left his office- completely uncaring and stoically procedural to say the least -i felt like i was a cow at the veterinary dr would not recommend- "—based on reading the other reviews here looks like many other people have had similar experiences with this guy—my overallexperience was he was only i terested in pills and more procedures he could bill for than actual patient health care-if you need a urologist i would not go to this guyu less you want to feel like an animal being treated at a veterinary clinic—i just wish iwould have read allthe bad reviews on him before i went there

Dr. Bauer is one of the worst doctors I have ever been to. He was rude, arrogant, and condescending. He did not care about me at all. I would never waste my time with him again.

Professionalism, communication, and explanation of diagnosis and procedures were all poor.

My husband and I are newlyweds. He was seeing Dr Bauer for several years prior to our marriage. During that time he advised my husband to continue the process of self-cathing 2-3 times per day because he couldn't empty bladder naturally. This introduced bacteria into his bladder. Thus numerous UTI's. Last fall, when he finally advised surgery to clear our his urethra, he insisted my husband stop taking his Plavix and aspirin. He did this without checking with the cardiologist. Thankfully a concerned anesthesiologist, advised us that the surgery was too dangerous since it had been only 6 months since he had 2 medicated stints placed in his coronary arteries. Bauer was ready to do this surgery even after we were informed of the risk! We are now battling drug-resistance e-coli UTI. Now he has C-Diff. None of this would be happening if my husband had TURP surgery 2-3 years ago. Also, when we tried to change to another doctor in the practice, they would not let us transfer!

Passing on my father's comments, he was not happy with Bauer. He had many problems with him but foremost was when he wanted to ask questions he could only get one in. Answers were off topic and poor quality, incomplete as the doctor rushed off. He asked for another doctor and was told he could not switch within their group. So he dumped the group. It appears that Urological Services is driven by greed more than anything else.

My dad has been seeing Dr. Bauer for the better part of a year. Even at his senior age now, he is the strongest man I know, able to out-muscle men 30-40 years younger. But on many occasions this year he has been experiencing extreme pain plus blood loss and has made many visits to the ER. He goes to Dr. Bauer's office each time as requested and does everything required of him, but still no results after many, many months of waiting (only bills in the mail). He lives a long ways from the doctor's office, and sometimes they tell him to come in the next day after a visit only to find they just needed a 5 minute urine sample that they could have taken the day before when he was there. To make it worse, he has been the primary care giver for his dying wife, and not knowing the results of what he is facing has been extremely stressful on him when he is already exhausted. At the hospital recently my Dad said, in the strongest of non-profane words, he would NEVER see this doctor again.
