I am appalled and utterly disgusted by the deplorable treatment I received at Piedmont Endocrinology in Hickory, NC. The level of incompetence and apathy displayed by this establishment is beyond belief. From the moment I called to confirm my appointment, it became painfully clear that the staff at Piedmont Endocrinology lacks any sense of professionalism, courtesy, or basic empathy for their patients.

When I called to confirm my appointment, I was already met with a hostile attitude. Shockingly, I was informed that I had supposedly canceled my appointment in September during a call that never even took place. It is a blatant fabrication on the part of Piedmont Endocrinology to cover their own mistake of reaching out to the incorrect number. Rather than acknowledging their error, they chose to shift blame and refused to take any responsibility.

What followed was truly astonishing. Instead of rectifying their mistake, the staff at Piedmont Endocrinology went a step further and banned me from their office. This heinous behavior demonstrates that their priority lies in protecting their own ego rather than providing the care and service their patients deserve. It is utterly unacceptable for any medical establishment to treat patients in such a heartless manner.

It is evident that Piedmont Endocrinology is a place where patients are not regarded as human beings in need of care and compassion, but rather as inconveniences to be brushed aside. Their callous treatment of patients is indicative of a deeply rooted culture of indifference and disregard for the fundamental principles of medical ethics.

I strongly advise anyone seeking endocrinology services to avoid Piedmont Endocrinology in Hickory, NC at all costs. This establishment has proven, through their appalling treatment and lack of accountability, that they are unfit to provide the care and support that patients require. Choose a medical practice that values its patients, even if it means driving a little further.

Office appointment staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Bad enough to find a new doctor.

I've been a patient of Dr Barber for >15yrs. He and his staff are caring and professional. When I was diagnosed cancer 10 yrs ago he went out of his way to track me down by phone to check on me. His staff has helped me manage my type 1 diabetes with the best of care and guidance.

Dr. Barber took care of my thyroid for quite some time. Had 2 medication errors. One was an omission that could have been serious if not discovered in time. The second was a very serious medication overdose. The nurse's response (and I'm not sure if she is a nurse) was that if I would like to discuss it with him, I could make an appointment. Totally inappropriate response to a life-threatening overdose.
