For those who wish to improve upon their health, MDVIP Dr. Karen Dantin is very thorough with lab work, health assessment and a plan of action. Her office also provides: a sauna, acupuncturist, Craniosacral/Massage therapist, Nurse Practitioner, raindrop therapy, colonics and hyperbarics. The BEST one stop therapy center in town!

I really like Dr. Dantin because she is one of the few doctors who use desiccated thyroid in the area. Unfortunately, it is still a struggle to get her to prescribe a high enough dose to actually alleviate the hypothyroid symptoms. That being said, she is still 1000 times better than most doctors who only look at the TSH blood test and totally freaking ignore your actual symptoms.

I'm kind of surprised to see some of the bad reviews here... I have to admit, I was a sceptic when I was 1st referred to her by someone I consider to be a little off but, Dr. Dantin was dead on. I have fibromyalgia & have seen a LOT of doctors over the years for the various problems that come with it. She was the 1st doctor that ever patiently listened & then looked at things like my nail beds, & my tongue - I looked that up later, it's a real thing! She sent me to the lab & they took several vials of blood. I went back for the results & she was very thorough, explaining each of the results that were not normal. I requested a copy for myself & I personally looked them up to make sure everything was accurate, to what she was telling me, they were. She told me I was very deficient in vitamin D & my magnesium levels weren't ideal... & this was causing my problem that no other Dr had been able to explain to me. All my other doctors told me that I needed a more fiber rich diet or I needed to take Miralax daily; she told me I only needed to take magnesium everyday following a meal and she was right. She did bring in these little slips of paper - one about vitamin D & the other about magnesium but, considering she had my blood work & wanted me to be informed, I wouldn't consider that "rehersed", just prepared! She did mention a website where I could go and order supplements if I wanted to, it was one that she said she trusted; and yes maybe she gets a kick back from it but, she didn't try to give me a $50 prescription that she's going to get a kick back on and she also said or you can go buy them at Walmart or wherever you want! I can appreciate that she's referring me to a website where she feels that you can buy supplements safely considering that they're not regulated by the FDA and you never really know what you're getting when you buy online from a random site. GNC recently got busted for selling supplements with bad ingredients in them and everybody knows GNC. So, all in all I've had nothing but good experiences there. So what if the office isn't brand new & a little cluttered. She & the staff are great & I think she's more interested in getting me healthy than she is just treating a symptom.

Did almost $3,000 of unnecessary tests and very poor at explaining the results. I was told many of my tests came back either too high or deficient, only to do my own research and find that all my ranges were normal. She is affiliated with a vitamin company which may be have something to do with it. Very dirty and outdated office.

Hearing that Dr. Dantin was open to getting healthy as opposed to just treating symptoms I duly visited her at her offices. Being prone to mistrusting those in the medical community after several serious misdiagnoses and other issues I was skeptical. I have now been her patient for quite some years and am totally satisfied. I have overcome more than one health issue with her without requiring pharmaceuticals or surgical intervention and am very pleased to say I still have all my 'bits' and that they work fine; in particular, my gallbladder. I had serious issues regarding my gallbladder pre-Dr. Dantin and with her aid it has settled back down and seems to work just fine.

She was very rushed. She kept looking at the clock the entire appointment. I had to wait almost 2 months for a new patient appointment then did not get to talk through all of why I was there.

I had high hopes when going to see Dr. Dantin. The first visit was good she listened & ordered labs. 2nd visit lab results. She had these slips of paper filled out & it seemed rehearsed. Did not explain lab resultss well. Didn't let me look at the results till she made a copy at the end of the appointment. Told me everything was in "range" when in fact I am very hypo & possibly Hoshimoto. She shoves a brand of supplements & vitamins that she carries in her office or order online which I assume she gets kickbacks off of. She didnt do all the labs I requested either after taking 9 vials of blood. Don't waste your time.

I have been seeing Dr. Dantin for 5 years. I loved her until she and my husband had an argument. She use to listen to me and respond to my concerns with respect, now my concerns are dismissed quickly. Recently when requiring a higher dosage of thyroid meds she went back on everything she had ever discussed with me (that TSH should be under 2 while TTC) and said my numbers were fine when they were well above 2. I'm frustrated because this is not the doctor I use to see.
