I have been having dizziness, trouble walking, extreme fatigue, ect for a few years now. It's been very difficult trying to find out the reasons why. So I get the scans done and I go to my follow-up appointment with him. He asks me why I'm there...I'm thinking shouldn't you know why? I'm like ummmmm same reason I came to you in the first place sir. Duh. I'm assuming something is wrong with my results because WHY ELSE WOULD I HAVE TO COME IN HERE? He tells me he looked at my scans and that there is nothing he can do for me. I get so upset I start crying in front of him and the front desk staff on my way out. I was so embarrassed. Like, you could have told me this over the phone sir. Why waste my time, energy, gas, and time off work to tell me you can't help me? It's very frustrating when you feel like crap and you are going through the long process of test after test trying to find out why. This man needs some serious lessons on social skills and how to show empathy.

CHARGED $517.00 FOR A 10 MINUTE CONSULTATION AND DID NOT ASK ANY QUESTIONS. HIS DX WAS BASED ON CENTRAL BAPTIST ER RECORD AND HIS TREATMENT WAS ANTIDEPRESSANT RX. I AM SEEING ANOTHER NEUROLOGIST AND HE IS TESTING FOR A TUMOR IN MY BRAIN STEM. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO BURN AND YOU WANT FREE SAMPLES

My husband has been a patient of Dr. Winkley since 2004 and we have been very happy with him. He is always prompt and very helpful. He doesn't rush the visits and is willing to hear whatever we have to say and questions that we need to ask. If he doesn't know the answer, he goes out of his way to find the answer for us. I would definitely recommend Dr. James Winkley to anyone looking for a Neurologist.

very helpful. He gave me alot of samples from his drug reps that saved alot of money on rx. Returns calls promptly. I strongly disagree with not testing. He was very through and found something others Drs didn't

BAD BEDSIDE MANNER. HE WON'T LET YOU ASK QUESTIONS OR MAKE YOU FEEL FREE TO ASK THEM. THE WORST PART IS HE DOESN'T ASK YOU ANY QUESTIONS. JUST GIVES YOU MEDS FOR SOMETHING HE DIDN'T TEST FOR SENDS YOU TO A SPECIALIST FOR TESTING THEN DISAGREES WITH SPECIALIST HE SENT YOU TO AFTER HE HIMSELF SAID HE COULDN'T MAKE THE CALL ON THE CONDITION WITH OUT THE OTHER DOCTOR. WHO'S RIGHT? WON'T RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR.
