Dr. P was right on target.She new exactly what my issue was and now I am getting on track with my life. I wouldn't expect her to have bedside manner, since she is a professional who takes her job very seriously. She even called me at home for a follow up. BTW. I had an internal exam and she was not rough at all. This woman is top notch and is highly knowledgeable in her profession. I had many questions and she was right on point with the answers.

I urge you to stay away from this doctor & practice. I have always found Dr. Porcelan to be cold, rushed, and did painful pelvic exams. However, I heard she was "one of the best" for pregnancy, so I stayed with her thinking she would spend more time with pregnant patients. Big mistake. Not only could I not get an appointment with her most of the time, when I did I went due to severe pain I was experiencing early in my pregnancy. She spent less than 2 minutes with me before slapping me with a diagnosis. I didn't even finish telling her all of my symptoms! She prescribed me a medication I'm allergic to and then was unavailable once this was caught at the pharmacist. Not only that, the emergency on-call NEVER returned any of my calls. The office also didn't return any of my calls the following day. In addition, the RN practictioner there is by far one of the most unpleasant people I have ever encountered. She seemed annoyed by my questions and seemed incompetent to answer my questions.

I will only see her nurse practioner due to her puntuality and lack of interest in looking for homeopathic remedies as opposed to taking a pill.

Dr Porcelan herself is very competent, although her bedside manner is very abrupt. However, her nurse practicioner is really pretty bad. I couldn't get an appt with Dr Porcelan for 2 months so I took an appt with her nurse so I could be seen for pelvic pain (possible UTI??). This was THE most uncomfortable pelvic exam I have ever had and I am way past 60 years old. My cervix is hard to reach and I've heard that from many doctors over the years. But they've all found a way to get to it without the level of pain I felt today. She seemed to be indifferent to my discomfort. If these health care workers don't like their jobs they should find something else to do and stop imposing their frustrations on their patients. Clearly this woman is checked out of her job. Time for me to go back to my old gyno who at least seems to give a XXXX.

Her bedside manner and examination needs a great deal of work. I would never recommend her to anyone. She appeared to be in a big hurry. Never took the time to discuss anything concerning me.

I found Dr. Porcelan's bedside manner rather cool. Her exam hurt and all the years that I have been examined it never hurt like this one. She needs to stop running and warm up with her patients and become more gentle.

Dr. Porcelain made me feel completely uncomfortable at my apt. I am 30 weeks pregnant and she actually leaned on my stomach to reach something across the patient table. Her bedside manner is horrible. I love the other doctors in her practice, but I have switched ob/gyn's at 31 weeks because I do not want to have her deliver my baby.

I have been seeing Dr Porcelan for the last 9 yrs. She delivered my last 2 children, ages 9, and 3. I switched over to her practice after an extremely unpleasant experience with an OB/GYN group at Abington Hosp, 5 mos pregnant with my 3rd baby. At this point I was considered high risk and an emotional basketcase at best. I saw Dr porcelan and was completely put at ease by her confidence and proactive approach for my situation. She continually fielded calls from me during these very emotionally charged pregnancies and never tired or showed disinterest in my persistance. She allowed me to let my body be her guide, along with my feelings and concerns. THAT was and remains to keep me coming back as a patient. Thankyou Dr P for being you ! ! Carla Motta-Moliterno
