Should spend more time listening to his patients and less time on his personal life and personal calls. Asks a question then interrupts you each and every time you respond. Wrote a 2 page report to my GP and I barely spoke to him for a 20 minute visit. Not hands on. My GP who got the letter thought he was a total fruitcake and suggested we find someone else for me to see. I agree. In this day and age when there is no one in the waiting room when you arrive or leave your appointment that tells you a lot about someone.

My elderly mother went to Dr. Winters. He is a kind, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor who took my mother's complaint seriously and found a physical cause of my mother's extreme, constant discomfort in her rectum. I only wish my mother could have gone to him in the first place so she needn't have suffered so much at the hands of her previous specialist who did not take her complaint seriously and just kept prescribing increased dosages of Metamucil.

Dr. Winters diagnosed me with Ulcerative Colitis when I was seventeen....oh wait he handed me a box of pills and said here your gonna take these. On the side of the box it said for treatment of UC so, I looked it up and diagnosed myself. That box of pills didn't make me better so he prescribed more drugs. Anyway after a couple years wasted I switched Doctors but, the damage had been done. I had my large intenstine romoved and have a permanent ileostomy. I am not blaming Dr. Winters but, I think he played a role. If he had helped me understand the medications and treatment options mabe things would have ended differently.

George is very well respected in Lindsay. He is very personable and professional. He is one of five doctors working out of Ross Memorial Hospital and thus has the hospital patients as well as his own to deal with. He is an excellent doctor. We are fortunate to have him in Lindsay!
