I went to Dr. Hooks for the first time 2 years ago, having realized that I could no longer go without glasses for reading. Because I did not wear glasses previously, he is the first optometrist I've seen since I was a child (I was 34 on my first visit to him). Dr. Hooks was very friendly and informative on my first visit. He uses an eye-scan technology that I'd not heard of before (I've since learned that it is very new), which basically means that he doesn't have to dilate my eyes. This made the visit more comfortable and less time-consuming. He took a lot of personal time explaining the results of the eye-scan to me, and answering my questions. He also took time determining my correct prescription, to ensure that we got it right (my eyes tend to refocus and compensate a lot when scrolling through the various lenses, to the point that it's hard to tell what looks clearer when the difference is very small). Overall, I've been very happy with my choice to see Dr. Hooks.

Went to the office needing new contact lenses. Was expecting to be in and out of the office like any other optometrists i've been to. Saw Dr.Hooks and was very thorough with the eye examination i received. I was taught more about my eye health and how to keep them healthy. I was very pleased with how the office is up-to-date on new technology. The office staff was very pleasant and caring and I look forward to seeing Dr.Hooks one year from now.

Dr. Hook is the worst optometrist I have every been to. He is so sold on Bausch &Lomb Purevision contacts, he will ignore his patients when they complain of their eyes becoming irritated. He is extremely rude and his staff is very unprofessional. I would never recommend anyone to him. He told me to come in and have my eyes checked again with the contact, but I would never want to be in the same room as this man.
