Dr Bond and his surgical team saved my husband's life 10 years ago . Dr Bond, and Tara his dedicated amazing wizard who runs their ship have given us our life back. No words can express our gratitude . My husband was an emergency surgery, so never complain about a wait for a surgeon. They work day and night. Jay and Sandi Ricci

Dr James Bond lives up to his name in my opinion. Since my diagnosis with esophageal cancer in June of 2019 my initial uneducated thoughts were I was done. I was very down. After my visit with Dr Bond and the shock of telling me he was going to do a esophagectomy which is major surgery I felt way better with the hope he gave me of success. I had to do chemo and radiation before surgery that I had in Jan 2020 and my prognosis is good. I am grateful I live in Canada and have access to a top notch surgeon like Dr Bond. He’s a straight shooter and I liked his personality if that’s really important to some people. Personally with his skills being the most important thing. I found him a nice man. I’m grateful for Dr Bond and Allison his NP and his office staff. Thank You Everyone involved in my care. I love 🇨🇦

Performed reconstruction surgery on my ribs after an accident. I found him to have a great sense of humour and was informative on the damage that I had sustained. Followed up and listened to what I had to say regarding other injuries that may have occurred that were not examined due to multiple areas on my body. Due to his diligence it was discovered that I had other broken bones which are healing.

Dr Bond has made a massive positive impact in our lives. Dr . Bond and his amazing surgical team gave my husband his life back in 2011 . His knowledge and his team have given our family a life we never would have had without them . We also feel extremely grateful to his backbone in the office Tara . With 110% confidence we would use their team if ever needed again. S. Ricci

Dr. Bond is an excellent physician. He performed the nuss procedure for me several years ago (I’m an adult) and I can breath more easily now. Thank you Dr. Bond

I was given the terrifying news of possible lung cancer and possible surgery. I was referred to Dr. James bond. He decided that I had to have an entire lobe removed. I saw him 4 times before I got wise enough to go elsewhere. If you want to be treated like an idiot, and if you want a Doctor Who doesn’t really allow you to ask any questions, or certainly don’t ask the same one twice, or if you just generally want to be treated badly, then go see Dr. James Bond, he will gladly do all of that for you. After 4 visits, each one worse than the one before, I took myself elsewhere and found an absolutely fabulous thoracic surgeon in Vancouver General Hospital. It turned out that if I had needed to have the surgery, I would not have needed to have the entire lobe removed, only the tiny little nodule. Thankfully, I did not allow Dr. Bond to cut into me.

6 years ago I was told I would lose an entire lung due to a growth in it. I sought a second opinion, which is how I found Dr Bond. I cant believe anyone would question the mans skills or knowledge as a surgeon. All you have to do is google him to see that he is a world renowned expert in his field. I dont find his bedside manner troubling. He is obviously very busy, and I think some people need a therapist more than a doctor. He always was straight with me, always asked me if I understood, gave me options, and above all else, he has a good sense of humor. He came to see me after surgery, explained everything that went on, and most importantly to me, he saved half my lung, which has grown back(yes it sounds weird but they do, google it) and I am at 98% lung capacity now instead of 50% which is where I would have been. I have run three half marathons after surgery. If you want someone to hold your hand, and tell you its all going to be ok, get a dog, or go on a date or something. If you want a top notch surgeon who is the best you'll find in BC for sure, get Dr Bond.
