If this is for Susan Margaret Young from Soma Medical Center, I rate her extremely poorly. She has such a cold hard hearted personality and doesn't listen to symptoms and concerns told, seemingly brushing it off like it's nothing. She is condescending and rude and treats you like you're beneath her amd doesn't help one bit with medical care! I requested blood tests, she declined, said it was just a winter sickness going around. I asked again for bloods, she declined. This was after asking Ralph Brock Smith for blood tests as something was not right with me and he said I don't need it, he even acknowledged there was something there but it's "a question mark" and told me I was coming to them too much. I couldn't even get blood tests from either of them and they wouldn't listen to me saying something is really wrong. No thanks to those two, I did have something seriously wrong that went untreated for years as I couldn't move to another clinic as they were all full. I say Avoid Soma Medical Center and especially those 2 Doctors if you want proper, thorough care and to live well and be treated with respect and decency and compassion, something Susan seriously lacks.

Dr. Young is incredibly rude. For several years, my son had his "well check" with her. She NEVER ONCE made eye contact with us nor him. She was way too busy typing things into the computer. I really thought I was listening to charlie brown's teacher for a bit there. No bedside manner, whatsoever. I can't imagine she would go into Pediatrics when she doesnt know how to speak to a kid. She barely spoke to me or my husband and NEVER once spoke to my children, who were more than old enough and capable to speak for themselves. When the office in the last 5 years has asked me if I have a preference on who I or my kids see, I told them.....the only one I REFUSE to have my family see is Dr. Young. The office didn't bat an eyelash. I'm guessing I wasn't the first one to say that.

She should not be in family practice, she is one of the worst doctors I have ever met. It shouldn't be that hard to communicate with your doctor after seeing her for over 10 years! Went to see her before a vacation and told her I was sick but because I took an advil and had no fever when I went there she wouldn't give me anything and I came back from my vacation with pneumonia!!!!

Dr. Young is the most rude person I have met. She does not listen to question or requests you ask as she is too busy rudely interrupting and talking over you.I have seen veternarians access there patients better. She refuses to order preventative annual health care testing such as lab work, chest x-ray, bone density and will argue and preach to you as to why she won't order these tests. I am complaining to my health insurance about her.

Dr. Young is wonderful! I have been seeing her for almost 10 years through many issues. She has always been thorough and has been there for type II diabetes and hclogged arteries as well as numerous smaller issues. I appreciate that she never sugar coates anything and gives it to me strait. It's nice to know that i'm seeing a doctor that shows a real concern for my well being! The whole family medical team has been great!

Dr. Susan Young is a rude narrow minded individual. She doesn't make eye contact with you, all as she does is undermind you when you try to explain methods of treatment that have worked best for you in the past. I guess because she figures she holds the title "DR", it means GOD. I'm so sick and tired of know it all Dr's that don't listen and think they know everything about everything. She doesn't belong in an office working with patients, she belongs in a morgue working on dead people.

Dr. Young has been a wonderful doctor to our new baby. She has a wonderful way of talking to babies that seems to put them at ease! She is always very detailed and and knowledgeable. She always listens to any concerns we might have and has been able to recommend options and care for things another doctor might brush off. It is very reassuring for new parents to know their newborns care is in such a competent doctors hands! This is a very busy office, and some patients may feel rushed, but I have never felt this has resulted in anything less than excellent care.

I realize she is very shy, but if you speak with her, she is very nice to speak with. I really have had no problems at all with her, she does her job, and ask questions. She has been very good to me...She's a great doctor..
