Dr. Leicht thinks outside of the box and helped up get a very large wound to heal on the top of my father’s head after aggressive cancer was removed. Skin graft by a plastic surgeon failed. We were very worried about the wound healing enough so the patient could get cleared for hip replacement surgery. Dr. Leicht was very aware of how important the hip surgery is and gave us a new med to try so we could get the wound healed. It worked! Results were simply amazing. Highest recommendation from patient and his family.

My mother who lived in SWVA was referred to Dr. Leicht shortly after he started his practice in the tri-cities area. She was a life long patient and referred many family members to him. She had complex medical problems and trusted Dr. Leicht because his medical expertise extended beyond dermatology, He considered the patient's whole medical history which sometimes involved him following up with her other providers. She also found comfort in his compassionate and witty beside manner. My mother's medical condition required frequent skin surgeries and grafts; Dr. Leicht's surgical skills were so precise and artful that I believed he was also a plastic surgeon. I have a history of skin cancers and have been a patient of Dr. Leicht off and on for the past 20 years. I have lived outside of the tri-cities region most of my adult life and have had access to top tier medical facilities...University of Chicago, Shands UF, Thomas Jefferson (Phila) to name a few. Dermatologists at these prestigious institutions showed no advantage over Dr. Leicht....he is equally and sometimes more qualified. So when I have lived closer to tri-cities (including Wash DC) or visited family I have retained Dr. Leicht as my dermatologist. I appreciate and respect him for the same reasons my mother did...clinical knowledge and compassion. If you are looking for a dermatologist who listens, is highly intelligent, focused on diagnosing and treating, and will not suggest unnecessary procedures or treatment, then you will be more than happy with Dr. Leicht.

DR. Leicht is a great Dermatologist. I have seen him for number of years and he has taken care of all my needs. I highly recommend him.

Recommended by an urgent care doc . Dr Leicht was his professor at ETSU Med School. I went to their site and was able to see one of his class lectures. I was so impressed, I’d recommend that any potential patients do so. His conducting of history, exam , evaluation was most thorough I’d received from the many dermatology docs I’d seen for my weird case. He listened carefully to my responses to his questions. His manner is straightforward but always courteous. He Takes plenty of time to make sure all the bases are covered. I fact, his PA called the Mon after my visit to tell me the dr had been thinking of my case Over the Weekend! He asked that I come in for more tests. Guess what? I’d been diagnosed wrong for over 15 yrs! I’ve never felt better and more hopeful about managing this disorder.

I am a very complicated pt with a lot of interconnected health issues, he is not only knowledgeable in his field but in others as well. He is always willing to go the extra mile with me to help me understand what is going on and takes the extra time to go over the other concerns that aren't even skin related, I would suggest him to anyone!

Dr. Leicht was condescending to me as his patient, and seemed more interested in impressing his young interns than answering my questions. In addition, the skin check he performed was very rushed; I question whether he would have noticed anything but the most obvious skin blemishes. I will not be returning as his patient.
