Dr. Lauryssen's staff, Alfonso Flores and Trysten Peters, are two of the least helpful, friendly people on earth. You have to pay Dr. Lauryssen $15,000 and he does not accept insurance. You would think that would buy you some respect and service from his office. Not at all. His staff never returns phone calls or emails, even dealing with insurance claims, prescription refills, appointments, etc. They are absolutely the worst staff ever. Also, Dr. Lauryssen showed up late to my procedure. I was waiting in the operating room holding room on the bed with IV in for him to arrive. While he may be a good doctor in terms of medical knowledge, the experience with this staff negates any reason to use him.

This doctor accepts NO INSURANCE. I never met him until after my surgery and he sent me a $6925 bill (apparently my surgeon asked Lauryssen to come in to assist). I tried to help his staff file the right paperwork but they were abusive and clueless. The staff do not WANT to accept insurance, so they will not expend much effort. They want to run a cash business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I have had back problems although I am very young. I have been to A LOT of doctors that were supposed to be the best in the industry, however I've kept looking because I was misdiagnosed every time and/or not given the proper attention. Dr. Lauryssen is the most knowledgable, understanding,patient,caring doctor I have ever met. I can not say enough about him. I went to my appointment expecting the same disappointment, but I was SO pleasantly surprised. Thank you Dr. Lauryssen! I can not say enough about him!
