Dr. Mayer is an OK doctor depending on your reason for seeing him. He didn't do routine blood work until I demanded it, and I was told to call for the results but was never able to get through by phone. HIS STAFF IS INCOMPETENT AND RUDE. His office is open limited hours; closed Monday, only 1 day a week open a full day and the other 3 days are 1/2 days. Had to switch to a doctor who is actually in the office more than 20 hours a week and who has other doctors available to get an appointment with if needed. When trying to get my medical records for my new doctor the staff gave me a hard time telling me "It will take 3 to 6 weeks to have them ready," I told them I had an appointment in 4 weeks and my new doctor needed them their response, "Well, your not our only patient, and we are short staffed." I signed the release and called in 4 weeks they said they haven't started my file yet but would fax over to my new doctor my last 2 visits and any important information by the end of the day. They never faxed over what was promised and so my doctor had nothing to go on for my first visit. My new doctor gave me another appointment for 4 weeks and said they need my past medical records to properly treat me. My appointment is in 3 days and still have no medical records. The staff is unprofessional. I get treated better at my dogs vet office than I did at Dr. Mayer's office.

He doesn't listen to your broblems and doesn't take action . Doesn't do blood work. You have to ask for it. When does the patient have to ask for the doctor to do what he should be doing for them? Why does he question you when you have to ask for it to be done? NOT GOOD. BAD.

Dr was on time and seemed knowledgeable but was unhelpful. He refused to authorize the hospital recommended MRI, on the grounds it was to expensive. He Later prescribed a medication I was unfamiliar with and became visibly annoyed by questions and finally stated that I should expect no benefit from treatment and that I should let my chiropractor help me. He left the room without a word, when I realized no one was coming back, I let myself out, without my referrals without my MRI and without understanding my medication. I am personally still astonished by my recent treatment considering I have used this DR as my PCP for may years, I was astonished by the lack of compassion and really offended by the rude behavior of the DR. Completely unprofessional and left me feeling cut off from the medical services I need.
