Dr.Shively will go above and beyond to help his patients

I have been seeing Dr. Shively for longer than a decade. He now works with my wife and children also. Dr. Shively is very friendly and likeable. He has a calm and reassuring way. The staff are great, and also friendly. I would whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Shively and his office!!

So far all positive. They fax my prescriptions to the pharmacy in a timely manner.

I've been seeing Dr. Shively for about 8 years now. One of the first things I noticed about the office was that they take you on time. I don't spend an hour in the waiting room and I don't spend an hour in the patient room. They are refreshingly mindful of my time too. The other thing that makes Dr.Shively stand out is that he listens. He sits down, listens and talks to me. I never feel rushed or like I can't ask a question. Sometimes it's hard to bring up questions at the doctor but he makes everything easy. I feel like he actually cares. That's a change.

I have attended doctor Shively's practice for years. He initially began treating my wife, however after meeting him and watching the interaction he had with her, I immediately changed so he is my primary care physician. He now treats our entire family. He cultivates a patient/doctor relationship which is unlike any I have ever seen. He actually cares about his patients, their well being, and them as people. He listens to what you say, and takes the time to explain everything. He is absolutely wonderful. I can't say enough good things. I have referred multiple people to his practice and will continue to do so. He is one in a million, I am very lucky to have the honor to be one of his patients. If you are looking for a new doctor I would urge you to try his practice, you won't regret it. If you are not prepared to wait 10-15 minutes for him to come into the room, don't try his office. He believes in taking the time necessary with his patients so runs late but well worth it.

My family have used Dr. Shively for years. He has treated my wife, three children (two boys and one girl) and myself. We met by accident (literally he treated injuries caused in one) and immediately transferred to his practice. He has a bedside dr-patient manner. He always spends the time to listen and determine the cause Of the problem underlying the complaint. He admits when he doesn't have the answers but will always find them. He is allways available and follows up on emergency room visits even when you havent called his office yet If you visit his office once you will never go anywhere else.

Dr. Shively is great. He never rushes you, and you always feel he is truly listening to you and your issues/questions. I love his stories/explanations. The office is very tech savvy, and they are always timely with test results. I'm very excited to sign up for his new online system. You won't be sorry with Dr. Shively.

3/03/2101 I went in for routine bloodwork but had a medical problem which had not been previously identified to the doctor. In spite of the staff's & doctor's extremely busy schedule, they addressed my new problem with diligence and speed and I could not be more pleased with the visit.

I have been a patient of three Family Practice Drs in the Novi area, the shift being caused by Insurance, not choice. Dr Shively is the best Dr I have seen in my 61 years. He is thourogh adn extrememly knowlegable. He alsways takes watever time is necessary to discuss your condition, the course of treatment and the why for each step. I have been seeing Dr Shively for 15 years now adn I highly recommend him to you as the best of the best.
