My son had his wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Colgan last week. He was very frightened, but Dr. Colgan put him (and me) at ease and things went just as smoothly as he explained they would. His whole office staff, from Alexis explaining our complicated insurance, to his surgical assistants were so nice and we could tell they cared about us. We knew that we were in the right place. I highly recommend Dr. Colgan!!

I've had dental implants done by two other doctors before I went to Dr Colgan, and in my experience Dr Colgan was the best. He took the time to clearly explain my procedures, did a great job, and was very good with follow up.

I met with Dr. Colgan after an exam and xrays showed I had an impacted wisdom tooth and a cyst which had destroyed some of my jaw. I was told an outrageous cost (initially $22,000 and then reduced to $14,000) which covered exactly what I don't know since I was not given a breakdown of costs. Not having dental insurance but having oral surgery under my health insurance, I sought a second opinion. I found a very competent, caring, affordable practice in Melbourne and Suntree area where a total breakdown of costs and procedures was well defined. I was quickly reimbursed by Dr. Colgan's office of expenses I paid that were later covered. Needing an implant as well, I had that done by the same practice in Melbourne and Suntree. I will need my next phase done in 3 to 4 months. That means a crown or cap which I will have done by my regular dentist. By all means get second opinions when you are talking this kind of money. I believe Dr. Cogan's fees are unaffordable by many.

I've just completed two implants and could not be more pleases. Dr. Colgan took the time to explain the process before and after the surgery. The cost was not much more than a root canal and crown. The staff was pleasant to deal with and very professional. I was especially impressed with his use of advanced technical equipment. My insurance did not cover much of the cost so I had a large co-pay which is required before the surgery. I can understand this policy because unlike a set of tires, the surgery cannot be repossessed. I would recommend Dr. Colgan with complete confidence to anyone.

I could not be more satisfied and happy with Dr. Colgan as well as his staff. The staff were very kind as well as professional! His office was immaculate. I am only 24 years old and fractured my jaw last week, which is a pretty scary thing. He has done an amazing job thus far. My chin was also cut open, and he was not happy with the way in which an ER doctor had stitched it, so he took the time to restitch and perfect it. :) I would recommend him to anyone who needs dental surgery. He has a kind heart, and put me at ease which was much appreciated.:):)

It is imperative that patients get a second opinion when it comes to any surgery affiliated with this doctor. This office requires payment upfront which is not a common pratice for most doctors. The staff is abrupt and unfriendly. The surgeon is skilled but fees and office visits are excessive and expensive so a second opinions is crucial. Once we received a second opinion for my wife's surgery the office returned 10% of our total fee. Our second opinion surgeon suggested we not proceed with the surgery since there were other measures that would be safer for her health and well being. We were very disappointed with the monies refunded. We would not recommend this office for any surgical procedures

So far I have just had a consultation with Dr. Colgan regarding our daughters condition. I was reading the reviews and found them complimentary but non of them are specific as to what kind of treatments they received. Our daughter is being seen for having a condition that is changing her bite. Her front teeth no longer meet to bite down into sandwiches, but her back teeth do meet together. There is a gap preventing her to bite into her sandwiches. She also is experiencing lockjaw. She is still in the eval. stages to determining what is causing this. But surgery looks like her only option for correction. We just need to figure out what type of correction is needed. Has anyone had to have surgery to the jaw?

When our dentist informed my son that he had five wisdom teeth and that they needed to be removed, she referred us to three different doctors, one was Dr. Colgan.Based on comments from friends and coworkers we met with Dr.Colgan.When I called to schedule an appt.I was directed to a web site to complete the patient paperwork so that we didn't have to show up early for the appt. All doctors should have this for their first time patients. When we first met with Dr. Colgan, his office and staff were welcoming and friendly. We watched a video explaining the procedure and what to expect. On the day of the surgery everything went as described by Dr.Colgan and his staff. While waiting for my son,his staff showed me a video explaining the post op procedure and how to take care of him at home as well as answer my questions.Once we were home we had a couple of follow up phone calls, including the Dr.,checking on my son's welfare.I would highly recommend Dr.Colgan, and his staff,to anyone.
