Great Visit with Dr. Louis Peltz

We recently saw Dr. Peltz to get another opinion about the struggles our son has been having. It's been a bit tough for us as parents to figure out the best way to help him. Dr. Peltz was really understanding and made us all feel comfortable right from the start.

He took his time listening to what we and our son had to say, making sure he really understood what was going on. Dr. Peltz was down-to-earth and straightforward, explaining things in a way that we could easily understand and that made sense to us.
He gave us some really good advice tailored just for our son, which showed us that he really cared.

The best part was how Dr. Peltz gave us hope. He knows his job and shared some great tips on how we can help our son moving forward. It's nice to meet a doctor who gets the family side of things, not just the medical side.

All in all, our time with Dr. Peltz was super helpful. We were surprised to read some negative comments online because our experience was incredibly positive. He's knowledgeable, friendly, and really cares. We'd tell any family looking for help to check him out. He made a big difference for us.

Dr. Peltz is a wonderful doctor, and has been very helpful in trying to alleviate my son’s stress. His help was amazing, and we’re so thankful to have a great psychiatrist like him.

Listened to our concerns however did not address any of it. All he had to say was will grow out of it. No Support, no feelings at all. I cried so much but no HELP!

Was actually the worst experience i’ve ever had. Horrible conversation skills and would sit and stare whenever there was a beat of silence.

If you or someone you know is referred to him, do not waste a single breath. The reviews, myself, and those around me in person have all had nightmarish experiences with him. I've aged out and its so difficult to ever seek proper help now. He's sabotaged my chances of healing with his neglectful attitude in ever single session for years. No other doctor was willing to take me in case of stepping on his toes? Are you kidding me? Fight to change your psychiatrist now while you still have time.

Will spend the entire appointment ignoring your concerns and invalidating you. Everything is “well she will grow out of it”…..I’m asking for HELP. Just writes you off and says to meet with your family doctor. Then will ask random questions about your life that has nothing to do with the issue you are having. Waste of time and OHIP $$$$

This is a review from about 1995. My son has no trust in the system due to this doctor and is suffering ptsd due to his initial handling. Prescribed a drug to which my son had an allergic reaction and ended up in the credit valley psychiatric ward amongst adults. In our family meeting he was angry with my son and interrogated my visibly terminally ill husband and I with a view to our abuse of my son. This was my first experience with a psychiatrist and it was shocking to me.

I feel so worthless and invalidated right now. I'm struggling so much day to day and he said that what I'm going through is normal and that "everyone goes through it." Is being emotionally numb normal? Is being unable to remember anything you learnt the next day normal? I don't know what to do anymore.

He does not take time to listen to your prblem.Ask personal questions irrelevent to the patient and very judgmental almost humiliating racist remarks. Does not have neat appearance. Felt awful visiting him. will neverrecommend seeing him or will come out depressed for months after seeing him.
