Struggled with severe pain in my right hip for years due to a work injury and met with Doctor Panagiotopoulos in May of this year. He listened and he provided information surrounding all avenues to help with the pain which allowed me to make a proper informed decision on hip replacement surgery. I received a call for a surgery date much faster than anticipated which was greatly appreciated. I think it’s important for people to understand that doctors here are seeing so many patients daily and like most professions they are understaffed. So patience with punctuality and response time is important. I have had a very positive experience with Doctor Panagiotopoulos and his clinic. His work is impeccable and I’m healing so well just a month post surgery.

After years of pain from my left knee, I was referred to Dr. P, and unlike some of the other responses I didn’t have a long wait, he examined me, agreed with my doctor that knee replacement was needed.
I was scheduled in within a few months ( filled a cancellation) and had the surgery.
His skills are incredible, perfect results. As soon as I woke up I knew I had none of the previous pain. He cautioned me on how important the recovery and physio was and had me focus on strengthening the knee while waiting for stitches to come out and begin physiotherapy . Best advice he could have given.
Results… I was back at work in 4 weeks and golfing in 5 weeks. He said to take physio seriously and work hard at it and because of that it was extremely successful.
Couldn’t be more pleased with his care and skill and advice.

The staff is terrible. They never answer the phone, are rude when they do, and are not very helpful. Dr. Panagiotopoulos is alright. I found youtube videos on my Achilles rupture recovery protocol more helpful.

I had hip replacement from Dr panagiotopoulos approximately 3 months ago and I am very pleased with the outcome. The overall experience was much better than I expected. On the day of the surgery, the nursing staff were very professional and very competent. I had my surgery at 8am, by 12 noon the physio staff had me walking around the hospital, then by 2pm the same day, I was home. Four days after surgery, I was walking without any walking aids(no walker, no crutches, no cane). Dr Panagiotopoulos is a skillful surgeon and was very helpful with my questions during subsequent appointments. If you plan on getting hip replacement, it will help your recovery if you can get yourself as fit as possible. The physiotherapist (Yuki) was also very helpful with my recovery. After 3 months, I am already playing tennis. Overall, I highly recommend this surgeon if you are considering hip replacement.

I feel punctuality for any Dr or surgeon is a bit over the top. It's skill, knowledge and the ability to communicate with the patient that is important. I have had 2 hip surgeries with Dr. Panagiotopoulus and both have been awesome for me.
Dr. P. did a great job on both hips. He is approachable and answers questions clearly. I feel I have been very fortunate to have him as my surgeon.

Dr. P did a terrible job of 1. His diagnosis of my knee problem
2. The good Dr performed a surgery which I later found out I didn't really need and could do without

Through other Dr's I have found out he should of performed an MPFL. Dr. P didn't give me that option and instead tried to scare me and state that I would have to go through major skeletal reconstruction surgery to fix my issue. He stated if it doesn't hurt then best not to have the surgery. Very unimpressed with his lack of knowledge and dismissive attitude

I had an unfortunate workplace injury about 4 years ago and was sent to Dr. P through WorkSafe BC. I am forever grateful for this. Instead of rushing into surgery, he had me try 8 weeks of physio (unsuccessful) and then proceeded with a reconstructive leg surgery. I still receive compliments on how straight the long scar on my leg is (haha). He is attentive, actually listens and answers any and all questions I ask. Any direct contact with his office was great and his MOA is always very lovely and helpful. Thank you Dr. P & staff!

As a ski racing coach I need to have healthy knees in order to make a living - Dr Panagiotopoulous is the only reason that I still can work , ski and participate in other sports. He is in my mind an amazingly skilled surgeon who cares deeply for his patients. Sure he always late for appointments so I understand other people’s frustration but it is because he is in very high demand due to his abilities, takes a ton of time to talk with his patients and makes sure he reviews the patients chart/history before seeing you. As an athlete that now has had some 8 knee surgeons including a full knee replacement the only reason I can stay active is because of this surgeon. 5 out of 5 is not a high enough rating for his skills!!!

Dr. Panagiotopoulos is awesome! He is very nice, super informative and may be running late as per previous comments as he spends time with his patients! He always made sure we knew what the next steps were to recovery and was always very patient in explaining everything. I also found his receptionist to be great! She always calls back and is very nice.
