Really bad, he left my wife with no alternative, when she had heart issues, would not see her, ( 3 month wait for a stroke patient, who needed an aortic valve), recommended her to a surgeon who had board sanctions against him.

When she needed an aortic valve, left her high and dry to find her own doctor. We called asking for help, because we did not like the guy who had been involved in a patient death, and went from PA, to Ind, to Rockford to escape the further education that the board wanted this surgeon to do). Dr Coates ignored us completely.
The daughter had an even worse time with Coates, who I had been smart enough to get rid of.

For 4 years, the poor girl had been mis diagnosed. She had many symptoms, in the ER multiple times, heart palpitations, chest pains with the doctor wanting her to have prozak. She switched doctors, (within two weeks) had the correct test done, and she had Graves disease, now she will be seeing a endocrinologist. Really poor doctor.
