Was VERY disappointed with our experience with Dr. Hummel and his staff. If you want to go to the Costco of medical practices, where you're herded around like cattle and treated like a number, then this is the place to go. If you want a caring doctor and a caring staff, this place is not for you. From the first appointment, the receptionist was abrupt and the doctor only spent about 10 minutes with us. For this we got to pay a consultation fee. We were given what they call a "treatment plan" but never really explained why we were being given this particular plan and why it was better than any other kind of plan. Was this the same plan they put everybody on? We're educated people and so we were decided to go to another place. Results still pending...

Personable and knowledgable. Had his partner Dr. Kettel for a procedure - he was also extremely kind. Rating Dr. Hummel also requires rating the entire practice as the IVF procedure is a complete TEAM effort. Few of your actual appointments will be scheduled with the doctor, which is expected. His team from the nurse practictioners to the surgical team to the embryology staff was all top notch! I commute to the clinic from Escondido and the drive is usally quite reasonable. Happy to recommend Dr. Hummel and the entire staff of SDFC.

I would highly recommend Dr Hummell to anyone interested in using the San Diego Fertility Centre. I have specific medical challenges in relation to conception & Dr Hummell was extremely patient with me and never made me feel like he was rushed or needed to be anywhere else except talking with me. He was very friendly & informative throughout my procedure. I felt he had my best interests at heart. He was very inclusive of my partner & included him all the way. He answered all questions without hesitation and was honest in what his opinion would be in relation to my pending success. Everyone at SDFC was friendly and welcoming. We travelled from overseas and everyone made our stay and treatment as user friendly as possible

Dr Hummel has that very rare combination of cutting-edge expertise, and friendly bedside manner that will immediately put you at ease. We know that he and his whole staff are rooting for us, and will stop at nothing, in order to make our dreams come true. Simply put: choosing Dr Hummel as our RE is the BEST medical decision we have ever made.

This Doctor's office is AMAZING. Front desk greets you by name as you walk in, they are ALWAYS on time, and will take every moment with you that you need. I have felt like each staff member has treated me like I was their daughter/sister/best friend, which is so welcome when faced with the reason you will be visiting this doctor. I wish I could use this office for ALL my medical needs!

Dr. Hummel was incredibly kind and has excellent bedside manner. He helped me feel, first of all, safe in exploring IVF. I never felt pressured into making decisions, and I had complete trust in him. The staff at SDFC is warm and welcoming, and even after a failed first attempt I felt supported. I wish we could have had more one-on-one time, but the nature of the work he does keeps him pretty busy. Great RE.

I am an egg donor for Dr. Hummel's facility. The whole staff is very friendly, and very punctual. i have no complaints, and i am very happy with my experience with the center and Dr. W. Hummel. I'd recomend them to anyone wanting to become a parent and/or donor.

Doctor Hummel is the best. He has great bedside manner and is very caring. When I have an appointment with him, I feel like I am his only patient for the day. He is very knowledgeable but can break it down in a way that helps me understand. In a very difficult situation, he makes me feel positive about how it will all turn out. He gives me hope. And I feel truly cared for. His staff is amazing - espcially his nurse. She is so responsive to emails and phone calls - even the most mundane questions, she will take time to answer. I love this office and would recommend it to anyone.

Dr. Hummel is wonderful, and his staff are top-notch. My husband and I traveled here from out-of-state because of the excellent care provided.
