One $500 visit to Dr Dinescu in September 2015 for hypertension. He prescribed Chlorthalidone. While taking the prescribed dosage in the months of September, October, November and December of 2015 I experienced a considerable amount of weight gain and dizziness. I called his office 3 times to discuss these matters and after the three day waiting period for a callback each time, I was summarily dismissed by Linda of his office staff. On the last call she insisted that the doctor had agreed with her that this medication does not cause weight gain, but neither of them would do any research into the matter. Dr Dinescu dismissed me as a patient by certified mail and included drug side effect documentation from ONE source. I dropped documentation off at his office citing SEVERAL sources of the weight gain side effect caused by this drug and how the patient should contact them if they experience this and the dizziness side effects. His arrogance has resulted in adverse side effects that are clearly discovered upon research. I have had to resort to self-medication because this doctor and his staff shirk all their responsibilities to their patients. He is a disgrace to the medical profession.
