He does have a thorough, knowledgeable, multi-faceted approach. However, there is considerable reason to believe he doesn’t think much of fibromyalgia patients: He said, “They always say ‘help me!’” Unfortunately, the “help me” imitation was in a high-pitched, whiney, quivering, mocking tone of voice. Then he said, “They never do anything to help themselves.” I was sure glad at that point that I hadn’t asked him to help me.

Dr. Peredy stresses a full body approach to medicine. A new patient will need to give him their complete medical history and diagnosis prior to his treatment, so do not expect your first appointment to have immediate action. By your second appointment, Dr. Peredy will have his plan to treat you and know your condition relative to other patients he treats. My prior pain management doctor was overmedicating me - Dr. Peredy made a significant effort to let me gain control over my life. He also saw the causes of my pain and took steps to eliminate them. Though drastic, I am living a better life now than before first seeing him. Just remember it didn't happen to you overnight, and it's not going to be fixed overnight, but he will do what works for you to improve your quality of life in a safe and ethical manner. You must be referred to him by your PC MD at kaiser so if you are referred to pain management, ask for Dr. Peredy.
