I had my first appointment at the beginning of the Covid 19 outbreak so I cannot schedule a surgery yet. During my visit he did Further testing and said he could help me. I did not get very much info in my first visit though and hopefully I will be able to have another visit to discuss exactly what to expect during surgery and what to expect in the recovery process.

he was late but I'm sure he's a very busy surgeon however he dismissed my problems with yes you have a difficult disease find a good pain management doctor there's nothing I can do to help you yeah. I had surgery four months later for another back surgeon and we're not sure of the results yet because it was only done in August but a lot of the problems have disappeared but as you know a spinal surgery new problems appear until all the nerves are healed but I am not impressed with his brusque Rush ignore me personality

My first surgery was with dr Sybert I’m 1999, he was new outta his residency. He was a caring, kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and effective dr. Because my issues are degrnerative, I had another surgery in 2003, and 2007 for the same thing, because of progression of my degenerative disc disease, all done by dr Sybert. I coming up on 12 years since my last surgery, and find myself in need of additional stabilization and work done with my severe spinal stenosis. If you have these issues, he’s a great doctor to trust with your back or other orthopedic issues. He’s board certified, and will focus on your return to health.

Dr. Syebert and Dr. Mavian did lumbar fusion on me 15 years ago. after the recommendation of a friend. After the initial healing process I couldnt have felt better. Prime example- 10 years post surgery I was running 15 to 18 miles a week and competing in running and cycling events. Find it hard to be a bit of rubbish that this surgeon "messed up." The process includes an obligation and personal responsibility of getting better by us- the patient. Do the work folks- therapy, change of lifestyle, and interest in getting better. Do something about it.

Please if need surgery get a second opinion
This experience with this doctor and the whole facility is not for the client it's only for the money. The surgery was a botched job. Nerve damage after the surgery and infection from some thinges or someone from the hospital. Numbness in my right foot from the botched job he did.
Please get second opinion.

Stay away from this doctor! I had same experience as others below. He damaged a nerve during surgery and I am now disabled. Worse pain now than before surgery. His practice is all about making money and not about helping patients. He rushed surgery and made mistakes. Had to go to another doctor to take out Syberts hardware and redo surgery 9 months later with new hardware. His fusion had failed. New Albany Hospital is terrible! Go to a real hospital. Sybert and New Albany Hospital is very expensive and make you pay half your costs upfront before they will do surgery. They charge you for filling out employer forms too! Again, everything associated with them is about making money!

I had a spinal fusion in 2007. He ruined me. Knicked my main nerve and haven't been the same since. Read other reviews since then and a lot have same problems. Numbness in left foot, severe hip pain, walking problems. Had to get a neuro stimulator put in in 2012 due to the pain from this quack. I am disabled because of this. Do NOT let him due any surgery to you.

Dr Aubrey is great BUT his secretary is a B _ _ _ h! You call in to try to get an urgent appointment due to injury & she NEVER calls you back. This is not just a once or twice event but every time you call in.. When we talk with workers comp they tell me she is KNOWN for being a very nasty person. We will be looking elsewhere for our needs instead of having to deal with HER!

I waited 1 hour and 30 minutes to see him on the first appointment. Then I waited 1 hour and left without seeing him the second time. This amount of waiting is not acceptable. My wife missed an important obligation to be with me for the second appointment, but we had to leave because of other commitments. Not ok.
