I had a consultation with Dr Ankrum and his staff on 7/3/2017 and was told that I needed to have a root canal retreated. After reviewing my insurance information I was told that I would be responsible for $412.90 of the $825.80 total, which I paid at the time of the initial treatment. Six weeks after the final treatment I receive a bill for an additional $927.97. I also experienced pain during the waiting period between treatments, and never received an explanation of what caused it. I am still experiencing intermittent pain around the tooth, but I will have to find another endodontist to complete the work, and hopefully one who bills a reasonable amount and sticks to the agreed upon cost.

Dr. Ankrum is simply the best! Professional, polite and caring. His staff is warm and friendly and they all go out of their way to make you feel relaxed. Dr. Ankrum is knowledgeable and thorough. He takes time to explain procedures and listens too. Down to earth, friendly and highly professional - I recommend the practice without reservation.

Bordered on rude, competence was very questionable. Unable to diagnose lingering pain after root canal, then asked what I wanted to do about it. I'm not a trained endodontist.
