I've been going to Dr. Dicomes for 20+ years and have NEVER had an issue. I've scheduled emergency appointments and they have always been very accommodating. I've had numerous hygienists, throughout my time with Dr. Dicomes, however, I've only had one that I've had an issue with. I mentioned my displeasure and it was quickly rectified. I have not hesitated recommending this office to friends and family.

I had been going to Dr.Dicomes for almost 20 years and never had a problem, I always recommended her until I brought my 4 year old in for her first visit. She has horrible patient care with children. As she surprised my child with a fluoride treatment and stuffed a tray in her mouth with out telling her, my child became nervous and started to cry at that point Dr.Dicomes asked me to leave the room which I refused to do and could tell she wasn't happy with that. As my child cried she tapped her head and said "look at me and listen
to my direction there's no need for crying " and pushed her hand away as my child reached for me. Never again will I or my child go back there nor will I ever tell any one to go to her office .

The dentist is knowledgeable but I have to agree with others who have posted here. The office staff is not customer friendly especially if you can't make an appointment and want to reschedule. Clearly they don't value the customer here. They are also expensive and clearly all about making money. I have seen it get progressively worse over the past few years. Also they always have a different hygienist every time I go. Clearly employees don't stay either except the office staff which I believe are relatives of the dentist.

You can tell Dr. Dicomes is out to get your money. Every cleaning requires an x-ray for a "proper diagnosis" when I'm already entering in with no complaints. My primary care provider doesn't push me into getting an x-ray for my an annual physical exam! I find that she doesn't listen to me as a patient when I do come in with a complaint. I wouldn't recommend her. No one in my family has been happy with her and the 50$ charge if you don't cancel your appointment 24 hours ahead of time.

I have been going to Dr Dicomes for about 20 years. The only reason I continued to go for so long was the ease of not switching and Jan (the receptionist) Jan is the nicest person ever. She asks about my family every time I go. My entire family used to go to Dr Dicomes but have all dropped her. Her billing staff is extremely rude. Every time I go I get a new hygienist (I hate that). I had some so/so insurance the last time I went and needed panos and bite wings...it was going to be 300+ dollars. The staff made me feel like a complete degenerate because I wanted a price first. I was unprepared to spend that much. They refused to clean my teeth without the x-rays. I am in the military and can assure you my teeth are fine. I have never ever felt so uncomfortable. because of this incident I am switching. I do not recommend her to anyone. I honestly don’t know how she is still in business.

This office values efficiency over patient care. I feel like I am part of an assembly line. The woman at the front desk is very nasty, and appointments for my kids are usually only available during school. I should have changed dentists years ago.

Dr. D has been my family dentist for mor than 15 years. I have recommended her to colleagues whose families are now long term patients. The care I receive is excellent, her staff very caring, and the efficiency of her office is admirable.

Every time I go to get my teeth cleaned there is all new staff. They also try to push crowns on you when you don't need them. Out for the almighty $$$$

I have to agree with several other posts that Dr. DiComes and her office staff (with a few friendly exceptions) are pretty rude and seem to be motivated more by the almighty dollar than concern for the patient. My entire family has been visiting Dr. DiComes since 1992, before she built this office. In the late 90s I had it out with the office staff over a missed appointment and vowed not to return. However, I did ultimately return in 2010 to have a few teeth filled (all fees were paid out of pocket). Less than 4 months later one filling (an amalgam of metal, not composite) broke and I was told that I could have it refilled - at full cost! Living out of state, I have had my dental work done when I fly up to RI to visit family. After this last event, I can see where Dr. DiComes' concern is - in her wallet and not with her patients and I will NOT be returning. So sorry to have gone back for a second chance at shoddy work.
