I like his personality but he prescribed me an addictive n=medication and when I told him after I stopped taking it I had withdrawals he said I didn't have them and that the medication isn't addictive but if you look it up it definitely is. And his son is so rude and pretentious

Warning: He failed to diagnose a tumor in my spinal column, and prescribed "push-ups" for the shooting pain down my arm. After several weeks of consistent pain, he refused to give me a referral to see a specialist, so I had to pay for one myself. I was found to be dangerously close to paralysis, and had to be operated on immediately. Then, to add insult to injury, Newcomer sent me a letter saying that he could not see me anymore, since I did not comply with his directives.

Do not go to this Doctor. He prescribed an addictive drug 9 yrs ago, never told me it was addictive and when I needed a refill recently, I was told he doesn't prescribe long term medication anymore. Really???? It's called Patient Abandonment and it's not the first time he's done it. As far as his office staff, his son works the front desk and is the rudest, most condescending jerk ever! Got real smart a#&y with me on the phone and then he hung up on me. Three days later, without a renewal for my prescription, I received a letter telling me that they were sorry to see me go. Really?????

My family has been seeing Dr Newcomer for at least 15 yrs, we moved away came back and live 60 miles away. We feel it is worth the drive to use him. he is caring and will listen and explain anything and everything that you want to know and will take whatever time is needed to make correct evaluations. Have moved many times over the yrs & worked from Chicago to Baltimore to Miami with many different doctors over past 40 yrs. We are extremely satisified with Dr Newcomer and his staff!!

Dr. N. really took time to asses my condition. A welcome change from doctors that rush through a diagnosis or carelessly make judgements without assessing all the facts.

Stay Away! The man at the front desk is a tyrant! Rude, condescending, and a flat out liar. Not worth the headache...look elsewhere.

It took weeks for his staff to contact us about the results of multiple tests (the tests results were completed well in advance of us being contacted by the office). They refused to give us the results over the phone, but will make us wait an additional week until we can see him in his office again (another charge for the insurance company). Very rude staff.

Great doctor, spends the right amount of time with you. Sometimes there is a wait but I do know he will take an emergency appointment and try to work it in. As I have been one of the emergency patients, I don't mind the wait

I have been with Dr Newcomer for over 15 years. He is concerned, caring, does not rush patients out of the room, and is conservative with meds and Rx refills. I wouldnt trade his care for anything. If he feels the necesity to see a patient before prescribing any meds, that is the right thig to do. Calling an Rx in without examination can be harmful- keep up the great work, Doc
