Terrible, shoddy work!!! Appears not to know what he is doing. Don't go to him or other drs he has working there like Dr virgulti. Secretary and dental assistant terrible. Condescending and rude not professional behavior from any of the staff.

My childhood experience inspired me to share this story.

Throughout my childhood, my parents routinely forced me to sit through this nightmare dentist. While I was a child, my visits with Dr. Meletta were brutal and careless. My inability to comprehend the magnitude of the future problems it would lead me to in my current life is extremely unsettling. The purpose of this review is not to be a review, but rather to express what plagues me to this day.

As my mom was told, my adult teeth revealed that I was missing my bicuspids. As a result, certain dental procedures would be recommended to achieve a uniform smile by Dr. Maletta. Through this nightmare, I had several appointments with this dentist where I was under extreme duress due to his malpractice with the care of my pain. While I was a child, I remember how my fear and sweat would build as I sat in the chair knowing my numbing needle wouldn't be enough, and my cry for help was unheard as convulsion-like feelings surged through my body due to drilling the nerves. Today, the sheer thought of the procedures haunts me, each dental visit giving me a scare I can't forget. All these issues to this day prevent me from treating my current dental problems.

As a result of Dr. Maletta destroying the root of one of my teeth, I developed my current phobia. His claim was that he had to shave down the point of my smile in order to make it uniform. I suffered tremendous behavioural problems due to the loose nature of the tooth for 3 years. After removing more than half of it the tooth fell out causing a hole in my smile. This led to extreme insecurity as well as all-around extreme depression.

Currently, I am in my early 30s. The last 10+ years have seen me sit in three dental waiting rooms because of my severe phobia of dentist work. In each case, I dashed to my car before treatment. As a result of my extreme anxiety, I've been working with my family doctor and haven't had any success. I am living a nightmare because of my teeth. As a result, I've tried just about everything I can and I'm at a loss.

The point of this review isn't simply to share my experience and say it's a blame game. Instead, I'm leaving it for those who may have children who are going through similar situations but have no voice.

I hope others can find a voice that I never had.

My dental records will show everything I have stated is accurate.

I been going there for several years now. Every time I go there the fees have gone up. He has great hygienists, kind and caring. They are knowledgeable. Front staff secretaries are abrupt and book you for a cleaning instead of what you called for. I told them I had a broken tooth I needed the Dr. to fix it and when I got there it was booked for a cleaning. What's going on!! Dr. Maletta used to take his time, now he gets up from my appointment several times before he finishes the work, seems he's not interested .

Dr Maletta has been my dentist, my parents and my kids for most of my life! Would never go to anyone else except I had to move away. No other dentist or office has been as professional and great as his. I always try to come back for appointments when I’m in town.

I have had Dr. Meletta as a dentist for many years. I am sad to say that the service that yoy will recieve there is something that you should avoid if you value your health. Unnecessary procedures and extractions. Poor folllow up. DO NOT GO FOR TEETH CLEANINGS THERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TEETH AND HEALTH!! They offer cheaper costs and give even cheaper service.

After many years, I switched dentists. John runs an assembly line now and billings seem to be priority 1. Wasn’t always this way, so I’m sad to leave, but when the trust is gone ....

The dentists there are great but the women at the desk are just horrible and rude. I don't think the dentist realises this either.

The best dental practice in the Niagara Region. Dr. Maletta has been practicing for nearly 40 years and the most caring and considerate professional I have ever encountered.
