the long waiting time is not her help. she doesn't know how to speak properly, she misdiagnosed me and prescribed whatever medication she could think of twice in a row and i had to be admitted into the hospital. she doesn't give you direct answers to your questions either. she needs to retire or work in manual labour or something

I have been a patient of Dr. Yang's for over 25 years. Your appt is never on time, but never do you wait more than a couple of days to see her, so weight the pros and cons there. I find Dr. Yang very knowledgeable and always willing to discuss options. I don't find she's ever ignored me for her Chinese clientelle. The receptionists are pleasant and hospitable, but very very busy.

I've been with Dr. Yang for almost eight years now. I think her staff are quite professional and pleasant, in person and on the phone. The punctuality issue - well isn't that a problem with the entire healthcare system? Anyways when I do see Dr. Yang, she's always well composed and not harried which makes me believe she's worth the weight. She is opinionated and frank, so I find that I work with her well, since I like working with such people. The people she refers are hit and miss, I'm not sure if its a reflection of her connections or of the overall (lack of) quality of specialists in the Ottawa region. I consider myself to be proactive about taking care of my own wellness so she is a good expert member to have on my team.

Dr. Yang is a wonderful physician. She does her job extremely well and our family has a great deal of confidence in her abilities. She is compassinate and interested in the families that she treats which, in this day and age, is rate. It's usually a "you're in you're out" visit but Dr. Yang makes time to listen to your concerns. Granted, the wait can be long but it is worth it.As far as her staff, you couldn't find more pleasant people.

I am not sure what people are referring too.. Both receptionist are amazing, helpful and accommodating. I have dropped in many times with my sick daughter.. they`ve always told me that there is a wait but i am glad Dr. Yang saw us.. other doctors - they won`t even see you. As for Dr. Yang - she is beyond fabulous.. I am extremely happy with her.. She always double check everything and listens to our smallest worries or concerns.. I highly recommend her.. One bad thing is the wait time.. but she does take alot of time with patients that is why she is delayed.

Dr. Yang is the worst doctor I've ever had. Wait time is long. She wastes time on idle talk during my visits; never really spends time on matter at hand. I saw her during my pregnancy and she didn't get me an appointment with an OB until very late in my third trimester. Although it's probably unrelated, I ended up having preterm labor. I ended up only seeing my OB twice. I have switched doctor since then.

Her judgement is sometimes very biased. Her receptionist/staff is extremely rude. She is over booked and her pateints have to be made waiting for at least 30-45 minutes. My friend switched to other doctor because of her mis-diagnosis that causes her mom to have a stroke. Make sure you demand lab lab and take charge of your own health. Don't rely on Dr. Yang to detect the disease for you and it will be too late.

She has absolutely no idea what she is talking about. She will give you a diagnosis with absolute certainty and a straight face even if she does not know the answer at all. My dad has disease of the veins causing his legs to blacken and retain water she recommended that he wear long pants and cover it! His legs could rot due to this. My sister suffered from severe anxiety and she recommended that she take anti depressants which the specialist could not believe was prescribed to her. You will wait at least 2-3 hours while she councils chinesse families and takes her time with them and rushes you out like chop liver. STAY AWAY. Her staff is barely high school educated.

Once you get to know the receptionists, they are very nice. I agree with the rest of the people who'd commented....I wait for at least 30 minutes. She is definitely over booked. During the appointment, sometimes I feel I am rushed.
