Dr. Chun did a great job on my breast cancer reconstruction surgery!!!!

Today Dr. Joseph T. Chun told me that he doesn't do scar revision surgery ("I'd just be creating another scar," he said). Yet scar revision surgery is recognized by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. See the following website: https://www.plasticsurgery.org/reconstructive-procedures/scar-revision

Moreover, Dr. Chun referred me back to the dermatologist who performed the original procedure (even though, as I explained to Dr. Chun, I have no trust whatsoever in the dermatologist any longer, a doctor that I saw only once).

And if Dr. Chun can't correct the problem, how could the dermatologist do it? I asked Dr. Chun that question, and he couldn't answer me. Besides, why would Dr. Chun refer me back to the dermatologist?

The answer to my question came from another medical professional, who just told me that Dr. Chun may be feeling some professional jealousy. Apparently, plastic surgeons have an issue with dermatologists and other physicians who encroach on their territory of surgery.

It's extremely sad that Dr. Chun felt the need to direct his anger toward me rather than toward the dermatologist who performed the botched surgery. But then, I was a convenient target.

Had I known that the dermatologist was going to be so inept, I would have gone to a plastic surgeon in the first place. But it's too late for that now, and Dr. Chun apparently felt that protecting his territory was more important than helping me.

Dr. Chun is a wonderful dr. The procedure he performed on me, a beast reduction and lift has changed my life. I would recommend him to anyone. His office staff are angels.

He was a great doctor. He made sure i understood what was going on the whole time and was very competent. He even came back and let me know that he was running a little behind because he was waiting on pathology. I highly recommend using him, plus the other staff at UT were wonderful.
