Dr. Passman was highly recomended to me by two of my physicians. Dr. Passman has been our dermatologist for over 20 years. He has always been professional, thorough and compatent. Yesterday his compassion went above and beyond to treat my husband who is non-ambulatory.

I do agree with most of the comments on here. I had a mole I was concerned about and he quickly stated not to worry about it after looking at it. I told the nurse I would like him to do a full-exam of my body for moles and he didn't even bother looking anywhere else. He does seem knowledgeable, but lacks bedside manner and thoroughness.

Horrible experience with him. Wanted a mole removed and he said "well I can remove it, but you're still going to have moles." Very condescending and rude. Will never return. Oh and I found another dermatologist that took one look at the one I wanted removed and agreed that it looked ominous and should be taken care of. Voila.

Dr. Passman and his PA Crystal are amazing such kind hearted people. I took my mother in for a annual free skin cancer screening. We have been worried about a spot she had for years and sure enough it was something that need emergency care. Dr. Passman scheduled an appointment as soon as he could for my mother. He was very professional expressed his concerns. Made us feel very welcomed. Not once did they turn us away for money issues. MY mother was diagnosed with melanoma and he and his staff did everything they could to take us through the steps to get it removed. He was very helpful. His P.A Crystal was just as wonderful. We are very blessed this was caught in time. They answered all of our questions and we're very patient. I WILL RECOMMEND EVERYONE I KNOW TO THEM. Our experience with them was the best. This is a Dr. That truly cares about all his patients and wants what is best for them. They go beyond whats expected.

Dr. literally spent less than two minutes reviewing my skin. Looked at it from a distance as he was chewing on food. Reminded him that my father had passed away from a melanoma in his 60s and while I was in the office for my rash would he want to look at my moles as I am a high-risk patient for skin cancer. It had been 2 1/2 years since I had seen him last for a mall check so I thought great opportunity. He glanced at my skin from a distance, and said if it all looked like my legs it was pristine. Seriously? That shows a doctor that truly does not care about the well-being of his patient. You have a high risk for skin cancer patient that you haven't seen in 2 1/2 years and did not even look over for any moles. Was very very disappointed and plan to seek a new doctor. Oh how j miss the wonderful Dr Herman Solomon!

I have been treated for severe acne for about 15 years, always with the same dermatologist. I recently moved and didn't look for a new dermatologist, as my skin has been clear for a number of years. I began to have trouble with breakouts again following the discontinuation of medications due to pregnancy. I was referred to Dr. Passman and had an incredibly unfortunate experience.
#1 I was asked to arrive at 10:05 to complete check in as a new patient. I left the office at 11:50. Dr spent five total minutes with me (I checked my watch). Do the math.
#2 He spoke to me in a very condescending tone, which was incredibly insulting especially given the fact that I am a medical professional myself. In addition, as someone who has been treated for acne this long, I have a significant knowledge base on the subject. He also acted as though I were over reacting. I explained to him that I keep things in perspective, but when you have had the experience with acne that I have had (including 2 courses of treatment with Accutane) that it really affects confidence and is frustrating. He was very dismissisive, rude, and insensitive.
#3 He literally laughed and essentially turned his nose up at a medicated wash my previous dermatologist had me using. His comment was "I wouldn't waste my time or money on this", as he rolled his eyes. What he didn't know, is that the wash is covered by my insurance and is not any more expensive that most anything otc. Furthermore, the wash has been part of a combination keeping my acne at bay for years. Lastly, it's incredibly unprofessional to bad mouth another clinician.
#4 He told me there was nothing that could be done and that he would see me after I have a baby. I was so displeased with his attitude toward me, that I called my old dermatologist in Ohio, desperate for help. Immediately upon explaining the situation,my old dermatologist spouted off the name "Finacea", and explained that this was the best shot (the only safe script) during pregnancy. He offered to call it to a pharmacy here for me. Low and behold, the internet is full of stories of pregnant woman safely and SUCCESSFULLY treating acne with this med.
I will certainly never return to this office, and encourage those of you dermatologist shopping to look elsewhere!

very disappointing and irritating experience; took no time at all to listen to my medical complaint, issued a diagnosis without normal testing procedures, acted as if I had no idea at all of what I was talking about. On top of which the staff got my paperwork mixed up with somebody's else's. Terrible place to try to reach quickly by phone (apparently an automated system, very frustrating to deal with.) Cannot recommend this practice.
