I left this office more than 3 years ago because the staff was rude and they were constantly trying to order unnecessary treatments in order to be able to bill my insurance company more. Further, I had been a patient for close to 8 years and the office was increasing more dirty and run down and they appeared to be selling some type of diet product out of the office which was weird to me. (Or at least an indication of financial problems.) I finally fired them when I called into the office to get a prescription refilled and the woman helping me was rude and made me feel like I was bothering her by calling in. She also tried to get me to make an appointment to get the refill despite my having had a conversation with the nurse practitioner the last time I was in the office regarding my not needing an appointment to refill this particular prescription. She said there would be a notation on my file stating as such, apparently that was not the case…or it was ignored. Additionally, when I first called to request the refill and was treated so rudely, they still didn’t call the prescription in. I had to call back the next day and request it again, and again I was treated rudely but this time I was hung up on too, which was nice. This is when I said enough and found another doctor. Before they would transfer my file to my new doctor they made me come in and pay for any outstanding balances and the fees for faxing my file, which was reasonable, and I promptly made payment that same day. Fast forward 3 years, and I just received a collection notice of an outstanding balance from 2011 for treatment dates that should have been included in my final bill. (the treatment dates were a good 6 months before I left the practice) Apparently, their billing is such that it takes them 3 years to submit a claim to an insurance company. Also, when you are a former patient, they do not extend you the courtesy of sending you the bill; instead they just send it to collections so your credit report takes the hit. Save yourself the trouble and find another healthcare provider. You will be treated badly while you are there and after you leave. For what it’s worth, Dr. Presser was a great doctor….too bad I hadn't seen him in the last 2 years I was there. Every time I called to make an appointment with him only his NP’s were available for appointments. It seems he has let his NP’s and staff take over the running of his practice.
