Just saw this doctor today. I have had severe pain for years and recently had a laparoscopic surgery to remove some of my endometriosis. He told me that the pain was all in my head and that I needed to take antidepressants and walk more. I left the office in tears and I will never go back. I can not believe the audacity of a 75 year old man to tell me, a adult woman, that there was nothing wrong with me and told me the FIVE other doctors I had seen were full of bullsh*t. Please beware if you are a woman in pain because your questions, symptoms, and concerns will be dismissed.

I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff. He helped me after 5 doctors couldn't. He is very "clinical" in his bedside manner but I trust him 100%. When I have valid questions, he listens and answers them with valid answers. Would 100% recommend for people who aren't sensitive as he will shoot it straight.

Rude. Saw him years ago and he wasn’t rude but he is now. Doesn’t listen. Doesn’t care. I’d find another dr.

Worst bedside manner. Never going back. Maybe skillful but not a nice person

I didn't even get to have a visit! My regular OBGYN refered me to Dr Johns saying he was a fertility specialist. I called made my appt, on my appt day I drove an hour and a half from my house to see him. Showed up 30 minutes early and was told to pay $250 for the apt at check in because my insurance did not cover it. So I called my insurance and was informed it was covered. Called dr johns office back was told they had to verify and call me back.. I asked can I still be seen today, she goes no we're booked for the afternoon.. So I drove an hour and a half for nothing because thier office staff couldn't verify my insurance (which the already had by the way) before I got there.. This office is incompetent DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!

Dr. Johns is a rude uncaring doctor who does not care about anything except getting your insurance money...I am on my second vaginal prolapse now because of his incompetence and inability to listen to his patients...have already had one surgery for prolapse and he still refuses to keep me on Estrogen to avoid another..and now I believe I am starting to have another prolapse...he does not care nor listen to anything his patients have to say.

Dr Alan Johns was referred to us by someone my husband knew and I was in a desperate situation at the time. He was not a good listener, does not explain or answer questions thoroughly. I had fibroids in the uterus that he removed even though I begged him for a hysterectomy. I loudly and clearly explained that I was 40 and didn't want kids so I was making an informed decision. He said I didn't need it and that the myomectomy had a 99 Percent chance of solving my health issue. 9 months later fibroids are back with a vengeance and now he's rushing to recommend a hysterectomy. I don't understand why doctors such as Dr Johns can be allowed to practice with so many errors. I had to pay thousands and thousands of dollars cash as I don't have insurance. Now he expects me to come up with 30 000. He saw us as returning business as with most myomectomy surgeries the fibroids do come back and he would have known this. Go to this doctor if you wish to remain sick. Please take the time to do research on a doctor before going to them. Good luck

I am so thankful to have found Dr. Johns. I saw several doctors beforehand who could not diagnose my condition and was diagnosed and better within two days of seeing him. He is very knowledgeable and genuinely cares about his patients. I felt like he spent time getting to know my medical history and listening to my symptoms. I highly recommend this doctor.
