Referred from edmonton for endoscopy. I felt very comfortable with him. Anesthetist present two Nurses. Very good experience. They told me in edmonton it would be 6-7 months to get this done. Hinton got me in within theee week. I am a retired RN who has worked in scope clinics before felt very comfortable with my procedure.

Waiting for surgery for a year because the good doctor has cancelled surgery dates three times. I am now going to pay for my own surgery in the usa because I am tired of waiting in pain.

Long wait times when waiting for my appt. no information provided about the nature of my procedure or any risks involved. Two weeks after my vasectomy I was still in pain went to see him for a check up waited for 3 hrs for him to pinch me hard on my vasectomy scar and downplay my worries and ridicule me. Made me feel as if I was wasting his time. Very poor bedside manner would strongly recommend getting a vasectomy done elsewhere.

His staff cancelled my appointment but didn't let me know so I drove 4 hours to be told he wasn't there. I had called to confirm 2 times but nobody got back to me. Dr. Pulis had poor bedside manner. It seemed like he wanted me out of there as soon as possible. He didn't seem to know much about Ulcerative Colitis and downplayed the severity of if. He in fact told me to eat a high fiber diet which is the opposite thing that should be done when you have ulcerative colitis. A good note is that he did get me in quickly to do the scope and he correctly diagnosed me. I would say he is probably a good surgeon but has to work on his bedside manner and not to rely on him for information about your condition (he can diagnose it but not give detailed information about how to treat your condition depending on what it is).

May I suggest you check the spelling you have for this doctor's name. I believe the correct spelling may be PULIS. That is, one fewer 'L'. I had a minor surgical procedure done by a doctor at Hinton Healthcare Centre whose name I had though was "Dr. Pulis". The experience was satisfactory in every way. He was half an hour late, but that was because he had to perform an appendectomy on a patient who had suddenly appeared and was given priority!
