Dr. Bakos delivered both of my children. My son in Jan. 1987 and my daughter in April 1992. Because of our jobs we relocated from the Dallas area in 1994. Since we relocated, I have had three different OBG doctors, because I have not felt comfortable with the doctors. Recently I did have an appointment with a new OBG doctor in the St. Louis area that I feel comfortable with . We are close to retirement, and if at anytime we relocate back to the Dallas area, Dr. Bakos will without question be my OBG Doctor. I only have positive experiences with Dr. Bakos. At this time I would like to say "Thank-you Dr. Bakos". "You are The Best".

By far - the most wonderful doctor I've ever seen! I have 15 year old twins she delivered in 1994 and have many times wanted to write/call and thank her for being straight forward, honest, caring, dependable and professional. I admire her so much and have recommended her to several people! Patricia Dougherty

Dr. Bakos was the doctor on call the weekend my ovarian cyst ruptured. She performed emergency surgery on me at age 21. This was a previously misdiagnosed 4 months earlier by another doctor but she knew what it was with a simple pelvic exam. Most doctors would have simply removed the ovary since it was totally encapsulated and grapefruit size but Dr. Bakos peeled the cyst to save it! She treated my endometreosis and later uterine precancerous leisons. She delivered 2 healthy baby girls (one from that right ovary she saved) and has sadly performed 4 D&C's due to miscarriage. Happily she just delivered my newborn son! His cord was wrapped around his shoulder so it wasn't an easy vaginal delivery but she pulled us both through it (with out forceps)! There is no doubt in my mind that she is a brilliant doctor (finished top in her class). I feel fortunate to have met her 18 years ago on that painful night in Baylor's ER. She has been a blessing to me and my family.

Dr. Bakos is the absolute best OB-GYN, in my opinion, in the Dallas area. After another doctor recommended a complete hysteroectomy after a bad pap smear, I consulted Dr. Bakos. She determined that I was fine and that was 18 years ago with no problems and no operation. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Dr. Bakos was wonderful as my gynecologist but not as an OB! She spent very little time talking and explaining, and we just generally clashed. At 41 weeks pregnant when I refused induction she told me (in a very unprofessional way)if I didn't my baby could die. She also swept my membranes several times without my permission and didn't even tell me she did it until weeks later! Not a good doc if you're seeking natural pregnancy /childbirth.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Bakos. She has delivered 3 of my children, all by csection, & I would not consider having anyone but her for my & my babies' prenatal care. Any time I have ever had a question or concern, she has laid out all the pros/cons, risks & benefits for me clearly and thoroughly. But she has never, ever told me what to do. I've never felt pushed by her or like I don't know what's going on & why. With my 2nd baby, she was responsive to concerns I had in my first c-sxn about healing/infection of my incision, & she did a closing procedure that was innovative at the time, with surgical glue instead of staples or stitches. The doctor at the hospital who came in to check my healing commented that I had gotten the "fancy procedure" & that it was done beautifully, & he even went away & brought back another dr (intern?) to come see Dr Bakos's handiwork. She is the very best combination of medical expertise, and unmatched compassion and advice. I trust her 100%.

She has been my doctor for about 20 years. After tries at a couple of others I am so glad I found her!! She always has plenty of time to discuss things and is very open and friendly. She is an expert in what she does- those that complained may have had her at a really rough patch because she has always taken very good care of me and my female issues. I travel 30 miles to see her and she is worth it. They are also good abnout working with me financially when I need it.
