Ok, I LOVE Dr. Dyson. I came to him from my midwife at 40 weeks pregnant needing a c-section and he was AMAZING! This man is a VERY skilled surgeon. I see in comments here that he's not very friendly, but he's always been very friendly with me and even with my kids if I had to bring them with. I lived on the coast and after that first pregnancy, I drove in to his gateway clinic for every appointment (two hour drive and it is worth it). When we moved halfway across the country and got pregnant again, I tried another doctor but ended up flying (at 38 weeks along, alone, with three little kids) back to PDX to have him perform the surgery. Still worth it. He knows I want more kids, and I wouldn't trust my 5th or 6th c-sections to any other hands. After four c-sections I have ZERO scar tissue left over inside- he's that good. His surgeries take about 15 minutes from open to close, and he's really just an amazing Doctor. I'd recommend him to anyone!!

I just LOVE doctor Dayson!!! Yes, he is not really friendly , but he is a professional ! He was help me with my firs pregnancy , and then when I had a miscarriage with my 2nd baby he was really warm to me! He hugged me and tried to encourage. Now with my next pregnancy I'm choose dr Dayson only! Because I trust him, he's really smart and knowing doctor!!

Dr Dyson and the staff at Providence Portland Med Center were wonderful. My daughter went to him with complications with her pregnancy and I cannot say enough about his demeaner and professionalism. Perfect hospital delivery with a beautiful outcome. Thank you Dr. Dyson!!

I was born July 1st 1994 and Dr Dyson saved my life and my mothers as well. May not be the most friendly guy but he knows how to do his job. My mom, family and I were all lucky that day. My mom and I give him a very big thanks to all he did for my mom and I too make sure we made it.

Dr. Dyson helped me during one of the worst times in my life. He saw me through three miscarriages in one year. I always left his office feeling hopeful and taken care of. He delivered both of my babies with great skill and compassion. The nurses at Providence Hospital had wonderful things to say about him and trusted him completely. I can never thank him enough.

Dr. Dyson has been you OB/GYN for 26 year & delivered all 3 of my children. During my 1st delivery when I was 28 years old, I had complications during childbirth. However he was able to deliver my son without a C-section. During my 2nd high-risk delivery when I was 38 1/2 years old, everything pre & post delivery went well without complications. During my 3rd highest risk delivery, 2 weeks before my 46 birthday, everything pre & post went well without complications. THANKS to Dr. Dyson's vast knowledge and experience, I have 3 heathly sons ages 25, 14 and 7. I've recommend him several (10-12) friends & family who are now patients. I STRONGLY recommend Dr. Dyson. He's not the most warm and fuzzy doctor in the world, but to me HE'S THE BEST. I would not think of considering another doctor until he retires that is. If you want a different experience, the other doctors within his office include a mid-wife, other English and bi-lingual staff.

Dr. Dyson is an angel. i was a home birth transferred to the hospital after 36 hours of labor. Dr. Dyson met us there and gave us exceptional care. he is brilliant and skilled. he also dropped what he was doing on a holiday and opened his office to see me when i was having a miscarriage. He performed the D&C the same day. If you are looking for a doctor who is just warm and fuzzy, he may not be the guy for you. But if you are looking for an incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, compassionate and straightforward doctor, Dyson is it. The proof of his compassion is in his actions. time and again, Dr. Dyson has treated me with great care, and never been condescending or made me feel bad about my home birth choice. i can't say enough.

Dr. Dyson delivered our son via C-section. We had planned an at home birth, but water broke and baby was breach. He came recommended by our midwife. He is an excellent surgeon. After a 30 min. surgery we had our baby boy! Scar is straight and small. Follow up care from him was fine. While he doesn't have the warmest bedside manner, he answers questions, tried to put me at ease, double checked breach position before surgery, etc. I would recommend him as a surgeon for sure!
