Dr. Lee is one of the most uneducated Endocrinologists that I have ever seen. I know 100% more about thyroid and adrenal function than he does. He doesn’t order necessary tests Unless you ask. Still waiting for a call back 1 year later on an MRI... Run from any Dr. that uses TSH to evaluate thyroid levels. A Functional
Medicine Dr. Is who we all need to be seeing. Get to the root cause of your illness and heal naturally. Please retire Dr. Lee...you aren’t capable and patients deserve better.

Uninterested, poor doctor. No follow up. No real solutions eg. “just watch what you eat”. Pretty obvious Dave but what can I do to help my pancreas and have a better quality of life. And why won’t your secretary book any appointment to accommodate those living out of town. Got to make special trips for your very important schedule.

I found Dr Lee to be pleasant and got my Graves disease under control fairly quickly with meds. Not much follow up, wanted to remove my thyroid and have me on meds forever. insisted I would not recover from Graves (8-10% chance) but i did. 6.5 years with NO meds and a fully intact thyroid. The Drs don't always get it right. Trust your gut.

No complaints, only praise for Dr. Lee. He is thoughtful, kind and knowledgable. That said, Dr. Lee's assistant Chris is obviously in the wrong job. She makes life difficult for patients and her attitude is awful. After getting static from her one too many times I have decided to switch doctors. Enough is enough. David Lee is too nice but he really needs to do the right thing here and find a new assistant.

Dr. Lee is a patient and good doctor. However, his one and only staff is the width, meanest, unprofessional, and miserable human being. Her negative energy is palpable the second you enter the office. She doesn’t even greet you, which is the most basic thing to do. I have never seen anyone in a professional office or antbserbuce industry to be so blatantly rude and disrespectful. She has no manners, has a huge chip on her enormous shoulders, and walks around as if her job is beneath her. Terrible experience. I’m actually switching doctors, because I literally can’t stand being treated like a subhuman not a patient.

Terrible Receptionist! We've been waiting for my wife's blood test result for the last 2 weeks, called 3 times to find out WHAT IS going on. Each time we call the receptionist would say she will leave a msg to the doctor.

I have no reason to believe that Dr. David Lee is anything other than knowledgeable and capable. My only complaint is that he is not particularly communicative. and does not explain matters as well as I would like. His major problem, however, is that he does not understand that his office exists to provide service to his patients and that an essential part of patient service is a helpful assistant. His assistant goes out of her way to be as unhelpful as possible. She does not answer the phone and does not return calls. She will not help you if you need to renew a prescription. Twice I asked her to follow up on a referral to a dietitian and she twice told me that she didn’t have my chart and to go find the dietitian myself despite the fact that I saw Dr. Ley make out the referral twice. Dr. Ley, if you are reading this I can tell you that I have a background in employment law and that you have grounds to fire her. I have changed to Dr. Tom Elliot. The contrast could not be greater. He is open and communicative and explains things to you. He responds to emails and telephones you. He has a full complement of staff including physicians, Dietitian’s and other support staff who couldn't be more helpful. If you are looking for a supportive, knowledgeable, and helpful environment go to B.C. Diabetes and Dr. Elliott.

I have had several endocrinologist over the years but Dr. Lee was the best one I'd see. I was sorry to lose him when I moved back to the States.

Dr. Lee strikes me as a confident and reassuring expert and so far I am pleased with the results that my 84 years old mother has received. However The receptionist does snot seem to know that she is working at a medical office and her job is to help people. She is rude and unhelpful as if she is working in a grocery store and waiting for hours to end to go home or whatever else her plans maybe. A good and caring medical office staff/ receptionist will have to like her job and make every effort to help people as we are all in this boat together and must focus on helping each other/ people at our jobs and not trying to shove them aside so the day will seem easier for ourselves. She is not happy in this job and best if she finds something else. People need to feel more relaxed and reassured when they go to their doctor's office or need a service not to get disrespected and have to put up with ill mannered and rude staff, and come out of the experience angered and upset. Seems to me most uncaring staff in most doctors office need to feel important and they try to attain this importance by being unhelpful and rude and disrespectful to the patient or the patient family who have no time for such negative approach or behaviour. Being helpful has such beautiful feeling and brings so much contentment and happiness to the one who helps others that I hope someday these mostly young staff realize what they are missing and how happier they can be if they focus on helping people!
