I have been referred to Dr. Mantay twice now for my pregnancy, at 10 weeks and 18 weeks. (first pregnancy). The first time, the office "lost?" my referral, which was faxed to them twice, and upon calling and discovering this, they took down my information as though they were going to resolve the issue, but neither I or my physicians office NEVER heard anything back. From there on it was impossible to reach her office, they simply never answered the phoned, or they were on holidays. At this point I went back to my physicians office and we resent the referral and the office attempted to connect with Dr. Mantays office for an entire week, with no avail, and I was 17 weeks pregnant at this time. After this, the doctor ordered up a new referral for me, since I now 18 weeks pregnant and beyond his area of expertise. This was a week and a half ago, and I have not been able to connect with her office since. This is extremely frustrating, especially because I am missing care that I NEED and am needing help with this being my first pregnancy.

I had to have an emergency c section while Dr. Mantay was on shift, she was the most calming and soft spoken person I had through my labour. She took the fear out of a very horrifying situation with my son, as far as I am concerned without her knowledge and vidulance I wouldn’t be holding my son today. I would highly recommend her to anyone

Dr. Mantay did my emergency C-section and saved me and my son in a scary situation. I am happy to have her as my OB again this time around. She is not necessarily a "warm and fuzzy" personality but I am not looking to be coddled-- She is an extremely competent doctor and surgeon with experience and has excellent judgement to ensure moms and babies are healthy and happy. Her office staff are friendly and appointments are generally right on time and don't last all day which is great. Excellent!

Unfortunately found her to be judgemental, unsympathetic, and would not recommend her to a friend or relative. More concerned about her opinions and beliefs than in patient need or crisis. V disappointed.

Dr. Mantay is an amazing doctor and an even greater human being. I found her to be very short and matter of fact the first time I met her, but she is an extremely busy doctor and we're not there to make friends. However, when I had my 3rd (heartbreaking) miscarriage, and she found out I was in the hospital, she moved a family vacation flight to the next day so she could be there for me and do my D&C herself.
When I finally had my 2nd child, she was the one to deliver him, and her happiness for us was palpable. She is just absolutely above and beyond what I would ever expect from an OBGYN, and I am thankful that I was able to have her as my doctor, even 16 years later!
Dr. Mantay, I will never forget you, and your kindness and extensive knowledge are still appreciated to this day!

Dr. Mantay was a pleasure. I am very happy I found her. She was extremely knowledgeable and comforting to my medical issues. I did go in a bit scared after googling the worst case scenarios prior to my appointment. Upon arrival she was welcoming. She answered all my questions before asking and explained what she would be doing with me, why she is doing it, and further treatments if needed. I have to say all my fears have subsided after speaking with her. She was even nice enough to keep my mind at ease while the procedure occurred which was comforting. I found a great amount of compassion in her. I would highly recommend her, and look forward to dealing with her in the future. If it was possible to give higher ratings i would. I didn't really deal with the staff much but the small amount of time i spent with them they all seemed lovely. Thank You Dr. Mantay and staff

I was referred to Dr. Mantay for my 1st pregnancy, and I hated her. I found she had no bedside manner, and was just quick to get in and out. My daughter was delivered by another Dr at the hospital, and it was a great experience despite complications. For the past 3 years I have been monitored by Dr Mantay for Cervical cancer, after my Dr referred me due to reoccurring abnormal paps. I dreaded going back, but I am SO glad I did. By this time I had a different view of her, she was there to speak in facts, what is best for me and my health, and answered all questions I had. Dr Mantay identified that what I was going through doesn't typically happen until 40's ( im 26) and she moved quickly to contain the issue. She recently performed a procedure on me to rid precancerous cells and the surgery and care was amazing, she came to speak to me afterwards and follows up regularly. I am now pregnant with my 2nd and cannot wait to be back in her care. Like others have said - bring your questions, they do not read minds, they are not there to be social. Maybe she is late - a few times she apologized but was just wrapping up in L and D at the hospital. Bottom line, she is so well educated and attentive and when it comes to a Dr, thats what I want.

I found Dr. Mantay to be rude, condescending and extremely cold. I am often afraid to mention any concerns for fear of her dismissive response. i dread going to my appointments. So unfortunate since pregnancy is such a happy and exciting time....

Dr Mantay is amazing. She is compassionate , friendly and knows her stuff. She has been my ob for 5 years , she was my ob through my first pregnancy and two lost pregnancies. Im now pregnant again with the help of a amazing doctor she recommended me to. Im so excited to be seeing her again
