Had her as my OB back in 2009 for a pregnancy and delivery, in 2012 for a miscarriage and 2013 for another pregnancy and delivery. She always did an amazing job. Always made me feel safe and reasuring.
When I first moved back to Sudbury I was pregnant with my serving child. When I attended her office for the first time there was a huge pile of tablets of some sort on the table just sitting there in the waiting room. When she came in the room she walked in and announced to drop my pants, no gown or privacy was offered. She did no deliver my son. 2 months after I had him she reluctantly agreed to proceed with a tubal ligation but demanded my husband give permission. I was 33 with 2 boys at that time. She butchered my belly button and left a considerable amount of scarring and 20 months later I had boy # 3 because she did not complete the procedure correctly. In fact she did not complete the procedure I thought I was having instead opting to double clamp each side of my tubes with the clamps on one side only being on half way. I was supposed to be cut, tied and burnt. The worst experience I’ve ever had. To be clear this was in 2009. I just recently realized I could rate this doctor. I’m so grateful her hospital privileges were revoked.
I don't know I'd it's because of the no doctors and inly one doctor in staff and the pressure they are putting on our doctors and obgyns I had her for my first baby she was great this was in 2016 she even helped when my doctor wasn't right .I'm sorry yall had a bad expierence and some of us haven't I was a good not at risk pregnancy that needed almost nothing for help and baby had the cord around her neck but I am greatful that I was one of the lucky ones thank you lord
I went for an HSG test to see if my fallopian tubes were blocked.. Dr Padma was so cold throughout the test it was quite painful (I almost vomited) and not once did she comfort or even ask if i was ok. The nurse let me know that right after the test Dr Padma would come see me in the chair they left me at to tell me some information and she never came. For the results I called her office her secretary told me I was fine tubes weren’t blocked. I had seen the result of the test from my family dr faxing them to me and had looked into the result online and knew the secretary was not correct. Turns out her office provided me with very important misinformation.. I was unable to conceive with both fallopian tubes blocked and had I listened to her office I would have gone on unaware of this problem. I let the dr know about her secretary giving me the wrong information and she didn’t seemed to care.. I immediately switched drs and would definitely not recommend her.
I left a good rating in the past - my update is to give her the lowest possible. She was awful when I miscarried, didn’t look at bloodwork showing my active loss, and brushed it off when I corrected her (I had to tell HER since I saw my results online) and was unsympathetic. Forgot to fax in a referral to a fertility clinic, leaving me waiting for a call for 6 months only to call the clinic and find out she never referred me. That caused me 6 additional months of undue heartbreak. I changed OBs when I finally got pregnant because she lost hospital privileges- yet her office kept trying to call me to come in (she referred me so they were notified by fertility clinic) even though I told them I changed OBs and scoffed at me telling them my family Dr told me she lost her privileges and tried to tell me it was fine (I had high risk IVF pregnancy that needed repeat csection). My first csection was with her and I had to tell her I needed one after being at 10cm for 4 hours - which she confirmed to medical staff quietly during surgery (baby wouldn’t fit through pelvis and was stuck) but not directly to me. I was treated awful because I felt I needed one and was correct. Never did she explain what happened before, during or after and was very dismissive. I am now dealing with serious complications most likely caused by my first csection and need a full hysterectomy because of old infection from that surgery. Please stay away. There are SO many amazing OBGYNs in Sudbury!
Worst doctor ever! Almost lost my daughter and ended up resulting in myself having a stroke. I rate less then one star if the choice was there :(
Terrible doctor. Not punctual at all. No knowlege of her profession. Dont go to her she is terrible
She is the worse doctor I met with in my life. I wont go back to her again and advice people dont go to her.
Dr Garissa is an ok doctor if you have no issues. I've had abnormal periods and fibroids for years and a lot of pain. She would not send me for a hysterectomy. She kept saying I was too young(39) and inserted an IUD which did not work and was taken out 3 years after. Then she wanted to put another one in saying it must have malfunctioned. Ummmm no I'm done. It was really painful.... the procedure, having intercourse I still bled with the marena. I was done. I asked for a referral for someone else after she said she could try a ligation.
