He is also very open to patient opinions and will give you suggestions based on his medical knowledge. Our first daughter was very ill with the the flu at 3 years old, and he did follow-up calls after our visit to check on her. He wasn't accepting new patients when we had our second child, but we told the nurses that we did not trust any other doctor.
