Biography
Dr Stan Valnicek specializes in both facial plastic surgery including facelift, brow lift, eyelids and rhinoplasty, as well as body contouring including breast augmentation, breast lift, liposuction, and abdominoplasty (tummy tucks). Dr. Stan M. Valnicek received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Saskatchewan, graduating with Distinction in 1986. Dr. Valnicek successfully completed his specialty exams with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1991. On completion of his Plastic Surgery training, Dr. Valnicek undertook an additional two years of advanced fellowship training including sub-specialty training in Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Valnicek entered practice in Saskatoon in 1993, where he enjoyed a very busy and diverse practice in Reconstructive and Cosmetic Plastic Surgery. In 1998 Dr. Valnicek relocated his family and his practice to Kelowna, joining the medical staff of the Kelowna General Hospital as well as the Okanagan Plastic Surgery Centre. Dr. Valnicek is a member in good standing of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. His dedication as a physician and skill as a surgeon have earned him the respect of his collegues and co–workers. Outside of work, he is happily married for over 30 years, enjoys a healthy lifestyle, and is an avid mountain biker and foodie. As a partner in the Okanagan Plastic Surgery Centre, Dr. Valnicek dedicates the majority of his practice to Cosmetic Plastic Surgery and enjoys this aspect of his practice, working in an environment of clinical excellence and personalized patient care.
