I saw Dr. Coleman when I was a teenager in the 90’s. I am writing this comment in the hopes that others who had similar sexually abusive treatment experiences to the ones I had may find my confirmation validating. At least on one occasion he didn’t wear gloves for an internal exam, and he performed pelvic & sometimes anal exams every single time I went in to his office from ages 15-19. He pressured me to take the anal exam because of cancer risk, which basically made no sense for a teenager without symptoms. As an adult, I don’t think there was any good reason to be giving a 16 year old a rectal exam, and if there was, it didn’t apply to me on a check up.

In my late 20's I starting seeing Dr. Coleman and was very impressed and comforted. He diagnosed me and helped me through some tough decisions. He also treated my mother and found the cancer that no one else had. Hers was caught early because of him and she lived 6 years more with his help. Excellent is the word I would use for him. All my surgeries and yearly exams were done with great professionalism. He was always up on the new procedures and was a very caring doctor. I am healthy today because he took his time and made sure I made healthy choices. I would recommend him always

Don't ever accidentally park in Dr. Randall's parking space! I once pulled into a space that said "reserved" thinking that all of them said "reserved" for patient but when I realized that there were only 2 spaces that were marked "reserved" I started to back up so I could repark. Unfortunately for me, Dr. Coleman was returning from lunch at that moment and started yelling at me to get out of his parking space. I never went back to him again. No one needs to get that mad over a parking space. To me there are plenty of doctors as capable as Dr. Coleman. I won't be treated that way, I think he shouldn't lose his temper over a parking space and especially not at his patients.

I have been a patient of Dr Coleman's for 16 years. He has delivered 3 out of 4 of my children and was out of town during delivery of my last child. He has been a wonderful doctor and I am confortable with entrusting my care to him. He has seen me within a reasonable time at every appointment and has made an effort to understand my choices and make medical recommendations with those preferences in mind. I would highly recommend him to any of my friends or family.

I saw Dr. Coleman for my last pregnancy and I would consider it a very pleasant experience. His staff was very nice and helpful and he was always on time and took the time with me to answer even random health questions I had. During the beginning of my pregnancy I had some minor complications and he was very good about monitoring me and making sure the baby was ok with several ultrasounds. I called him several times of the clock and he was always very easy to get a hold of (literally within minutes). My only complaint was that the hospitals that he delivered at changed three times throughout my pregnancy and Providence Milwaukie was neither the closest or the nicest facility to where we lived. I would haver prefered Meridian Park. I also did not have a female nurse present during my exams but it's not law in OR and I never felt uncomfortable either. So, I suppose you can't make everyone happy all the time but I would go back based on my 20+ appointments.
