I took my father-in-law to the Urgent Care Centre at Jane and Rutherford after he fell and developed swelling in his ankle. Dr. Kiez prescribed an X-ray, which was done promptly. The results confirmed a fracture. Like any concerned family members, we asked to see the X-ray to understand where the fracture was and how severe it was. However, she seemed offended by our request and immediately became defensive. She asked why we wanted to see the X-ray and then, rather dismissively, inquired whether either my father-in-law or I was a physician. Her tone was condescending, as if we had no right to ask questions about his own health. We had an overall bad experience with her. Instead of showing compassion or providing clear explanations, she looked down on us and made us feel as though our concerns were invalid. It’s disappointing that someone in the medical field, whose job is to care for patients and their families, would behave this way. How is she not held accountable by the College of Physicians and Surgeons? Doctors should be disciplined for such unprofessional behavior, as patients deserve respect, not arrogance, when seeking medical attention.

I saw Dr. Kiez at the Urgent care center in Vaughan on Aug. 25th/24. I went in with sharp pain on my right side where I had gallbladder surgery the week before. Before she even made an effort to examine me she started telling me that I should go the emergency dept. at the hospital I had the surgery at, that they were better equipped to deal with my situation. (the hospital was in Toronto not Vaughan) She finally examined me and saw clearly I had a problem but kept saying for me to go to the hospital. She wouldn't even do a simple x-ray to see what was going on. In other words, she refused to treat me. I had no choice but to leave and decided not to make a scene. How can you say that this is URGENT CARE!!!! She has no business working there as she has no compassion and no ethics.

This doctor is useless. Watch out for the misdiagnosis - make sure you report it!

If you are a racialized person, stay far, far away from this woman. Her neglectful, care, for an infection in my hand, was terrible. She cut me open in the urgent care, without anesthetic, looking me dead in the face, claiming I must be so strong to be able to take the pain of what she was doing. After cutting me open, she was unable to clear the puss and told me to go seek care elsewhere, since there was nothing more she could do for me, after basically torturing me for 2 days. I went straight to Mount Sinai's emergency room in Toronto, and was scolded for not coming in sooner, because my fever was way too high and the infection was spreading. They told me I could have had sepsis. I could have died because of her neglect and my children would have been without a mother, I was in that bad shape, and she turned me away after torturing me. Someone at Mackenzie should give her more training on how to deal with racialized people, b/c the healthcare she gave me, was bias and could have killed me.

I saw Dr. Keiz at the Urgent Care Clinic at Jane & Rutherford this past weekend for an issue I was having with my eye. I suddenly developed a burst of floaters in my right eye. Dr. Keiz examined me and determined that I should see an ophthalmologist immediately. After seeing the ophthalmologist, it was determined that I had a tear in my retina which required immediate surgery to prevent possible retina detachment. The ophthalmologist herself praised Dr. Kiez for her accurate assessment. Thanks Dr. Kiez; I'm grateful you were there!
