My husband was going for ear problem that required a tube be put in his ear. The problem is the drs put several tubes when in reality putting more than 2 -3 will cause permanent damage to his ears which it did destroyed his ear drum, surgery now is the only option and he is now deaf. Incompetent. The drs should under no circumstances should not have put more tubes in. U as his drs, never should have done this. It's called integrity. FYI.

One of the worst hospital you can have your baby in. I moved from FL and didn't realized how horrible experience one can have while having a baby. They seemed to have the highest rate on delivery and didn't realized because it had such a huge number, the staffs are over worked and lost the sense of helping or caring for patients. They do not allow your spouse to stay over night either. Therefore, not only you go throug the long labor and delivery you're stuck by yourself in the hospital with pain. I would never recommend this hospital for labor and delivery to anyone. Hope this helps..

The hospital only wants acute cases. They are not happy with long term patients. You have to fight to get them to give correct patient care on family members. The patients picks up so many different onfection at this hospital, pneumothorax, pneumonia, urinary track infections, fungal infection. If they believe the patient is about to die they do little if anything on the codes. From the main doctors to physician assistants, which knows almost nothing of their patients. PA hardly if ever comes to the bedside to see how the patient is doing. In a given week, your family member may see 3 to 4 PA and 5 to 6 register nurses. The same for the respiratory therapist who at times may cough on the patient. They is no continues care from one person. Therefore, no one really knows or really care abour the patients exxept for some of the nurses and patient tech. As for washing their hands before or after seeing one patient to another, well they do not do this most of the times. Believe my dad died because of all the above! !!!!!

5 Stars Straight Across The Board. Maimonides Medical Center will always be my #1 hospital then it will be Methodist then Lutheran Medical Center. This place I will recommend to everyone whether family, friend or foe. The best place for children & adults. Never had anything negative to say nor did I ever hear negative things about this hospital. Staff is exceptional & well mannered. I came across this hospital when I was expecting my oldest son & I had seen an OB doctor at one of their facilities on Nostrand Avenue. My OB doctor was named Dr. Clyde Jacob. Even though I never gave birth there I will say they're the greatest. I had a home delivery but I went straight to MMC right after. Thanks MMC for the greatest services.
