I have usually had a good experience here but last week I had the most terrible experience to date. It was a mental health check up that felt more like an interrogation. At one point the doctor interrupted me to ask what my "end goal" was. I felt totally vilified and gaslighted throughout this appointment. Also, when I mentioned my concerns about being misdiagnosed (which has happened to me TWICE before, so it is not coming from nowhere) she barely acknowledged me. I told her I hadn't been able to get into a program another doctor had recommended me and she made me feel stupid for not looking into private programs, instead of you know? doing her job as a doctor and recommending one? After the appointment I seriously begun to question myself and felt like I was doing everything wrong in terms of getting help, now I realize it was just her lack of empathy and interest in my well-being. I had to book another appointment, since this one was more damaging than it was helpful.
