Our family’s experience with bmc has been abysmal. After being told by the surgical recovery staff that my father-in-law was being moved to his room, and that my 86 year old mother-in-law could meet him there, she was denied access to his room by the front desk attendant. Worse, however, was the ridiculous way they told us to get from the surgical area to the main hospital area - instead of allowing my aging mil to walk from one area to the other INSIDE the hospital, she had to go outside, in the freezing rain, and use her walker to go to the other part of THE SAME BUILDING. This is ridiculous. The front desk attendant was not at all interested in making things simple. We had to call the surgical team for assistance. The male supervisor helped us, and was kind. The rest of the staff - absolutely not.

Got ran out of emergency room for asking what was taking so long, I had been sitting for going on over 2 hrs with stomach pain.

A place to die! That's what comes to mind when I think of BMH! I SEE DOCTORS AS PAID MURDERERS! EVERYONE DIES AT BMH or they treat you and send you home to die! IF YOU WANT TO LIVE, DON'T GO TO BMH! 18 of my friends and family members walked through those doors and exited in a bodybag, since last year! Majority of deaths were NOT covid related! They ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF TAKING LIVES, and your money! R.I.P.

GATES OF HELL! DR.THATCHER WILL LET YOU DIE IF YOU'VE BEEN COVID POSITIVE! I just lost my brother there. Lack of staff dirty felt sorry for the couple of good nurses no supplies or equipment needed. Let my brother die unnecessarily. Had my hands tied. I wanted to kidnap him and take him to Charleston where there is real care. Gates of hell! Do not ENTER!

PERSONALLY ID RATE THEM AS 1 . TGERE ARE SOME EXCELLENT PHYSICIANS AND STAFF BUT THE ADMINISTRATIVE PART IS ANCIENT. TRY TO GET THROUGH A LINE ,COVID OR NOT . TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! DOES THE CEO care ? I'd venture to say because in 2 years it's only worse and was like this before Covid ! I feel sorry for the staff honestly . Just go to MUSC Where 3/4 Beaufort residents go !

Very little actual medical service, waited for hours with no communication, no feedback on bloodwork, horrible bedside manners, no communication on check-out, one poor nurse running around doing everything while the rest of the staff sat around the front desk bothered when any questions were asked, visitor was told the patient wasn’t even there and waited for an hour and half for someone to explain. The place was dirty and little comfort was offered.

Sorry but...this is the worst medical facility I have ever experienced...Dirty, employees who are not engaged. I even experienced racism. Not toward me but an African American woman. I was disgusted.

Not a place you ever want to have to visit, especially if you need medical help. I found the urgent care clinic far more receptive and caring. I will use them or Charleston before I ever return to BMH. Zero stars.

worst hospital, doctors, nurses I’ve ever seen in my life. Patients are to simly make money from and not treat. Not to mention the ER is on lockdown cause of a flu infection?? What kind of hospital gets you sicker the longer you are there? No one Cares about you here, drive the extra miles to a hospital that wants to actually help.
